[ some of you may have noticed that winn has been uncharacteristically quiet for the past...16 days. he's not really sure how to address the elephant in the room - he knows these two weeks and change have been hard on the people he loves but for him it's like no time has passed and the dissonance is hard to bridge.

it's a good thing he has a not at all unhealthy coping mechanism set in place. ]

You know, if we're entertainment on a reality show, the least they can do is give us like a recap - you know your basic [ in a tv announcer impression ] here's what you missed on the Fleet - or - last week, on the young and the Drifting - [ he rubs the back of his head before shaking it ] Well, maybe talking about the 'least they can do' isn't such a great plan...first order of business - what'd I miss? he returns the kiss, not as enthusiastically as he would've had his jealousy not been poked awake. ]

[ oh you're gonna call him out on it, are you? he'll play. taking her hand in his, he brings it up to his lips, and kisses her palm before very lightly biting. ]

[She leans in and sucks his earlobe between her lips before giving it a gentle bite before letting it go free. It might not be what he intended but it's a pretty good game, right?] Your turn again?

[ it's totally not what he intended but he isn't about to complain. gasping a little in delighted surprise, he laughs. ]

[ he nuzzles his way up to her neck, biting lightly. ]

Yes, yes, I am. [Making a happy sound and tilting her head to expose more of her neck to him. Oh, that feels nice.]

[ good, he's pretty happy about that too so he's just gonna keep on doing that. ]

[She finally shifts only so she can catch his lips with hers for something a little more interactive.]

[ he is a fan of interaction. if he's gentler, slower, less proactive than usual, it's only because his body still feels somewhat heavy and weak. ]

[So what you're saying is, exercise would be really good for him right about now. She keeps it slow for now, but she also coaxes him into a deeper kiss as she presses in against him.]

[ exercise is always good for him, he has a lifetime of slacking off to make up for.

he responds willingly, shifting so she can be more comfortable. ]

[Then they'll have to have regular sessions. And irregular sessions. But mostly frequent sessions. She moves her hands over his arms and down his chest.]

[ he votes yes on all of it, and makes very content noises at the way she's touching him. ]

I missed everything about you. [She may have mentioned this a lot already but not while so intently kissing him.]

[ clearly. well, except for his conscious mind, because that was shut down and had no idea it was supposed to be missing anyone, it doesn't count. ]

Says the man who didn't feel the passage of time. [She kisses him warmly. She appreciates him saying it though.]

I feel it in retrospect.

[ he feels horribly guilty and sad at what he's put her through even though it wasn't his choice. that's kinda like missing? ]

[That is nothing like missing. It's sweet, but she doesn't want him to feel that way either. It's amazing enough he's this understanding and supportive of her needs. That's more than enough.] I love you.

[ he learned it from her - she's never upset with him when he gets jealous and his jealousy is way more unreasonable as in - there is something unreasonable about it whereas there is nothing unreasonable to him about needing to be with the person you love after they were in a coma.

he smiles and strokes her cheek. ]

[She watches him adoringly.] It's going to be really hard to leave when Hank and Cisco come over to play.

Mmmhm -- [ he checks his communicator ]

Well no word from either of them yet - that's future Winn and Kitty's problem.

[ normally, he would invite her to join them. but this isn't normal, and if he's been put down because of his work, then he wants kitty as far away from it as possible. if she gets sent home - she dies. no way is he taking that risk. ]
