[It's your average day on the Iskaulit. Absolutely nothing seems out of place initially, but without any warning- you might find yourself or your friends experiencing some problems. What's up on that?

In other words, it's an Iskaulit mingle with a twist! Come on in everyone! You don't need to interact with Sora to have it effect you, so feel free to start your own threadstarter! Or talk to Sora, that's cool too. ]

Thanks. [Whoever you are. Her initial alarm is shifting to calculation, because none of the people here look like they're paying that much attention to her and this blond guy just seems like a nice guy. So now she's just trying to work out what gives. Too bad she's not the trusting kind or she'd just, y'know, ask.]

It's kind of quiet in here. I think I might-- take a break. Go out and get some fresh air.

[goldenglasses]

Yeah sure. [Vash shrugs, assuming that Nami is just using the phrase to say get away from the bar for a bit. He doesn't even think about her talking about actual fresh air.] You sure you're alright? [Nothing about Nami screams she's having trouble. It's just the little things. The way she's started to carry herself that prompts him to double check.]

I mean, it was just a glass. Not like that time I knocked over a stack of dishes. So don't over work and over stress yourself out. Can't have you getting sick and having to leave the angry elf in charge again!

[namisan]

[Angry elf? The look of surprise she gives him is quickly gone again, and she shakes her head and looks around the bar. The stack of dishes goes entirely unremarked.]

You're probably right. Maybe too much work is getting to me. Mind if I-- [You're the boss, Nami.] I'm gonna take off, okay?

[goldenglasses]

[Vash blinks in surprise at first at the fact that Nami started to ask for permission. Then decides it must be because she's worried about the bar running alright without her.]

Ah, yeah, sure. It's pretty quiet. I can take over the bar, I'll just let people know to not order anything too complicated from the menu. Or I could call someone else in to take over for you.

But are you going to be alright with your shuttle? We could always throw up a back in fifteen minutes sign and I can take you back to your ship for you. Flying when tired can be a dangerous mix and this place will survive being closed for a little bit.

[namisan]

[Shuttle. Like a bus? Her eyes light up when he mentions her ship, only for that to dissolve into confusion when he mentions flying.

That being said--]

It might survive being closed, but that's money the bar could be making! [Look, she doesn't know what's going on, but that's both important in and of itself and because if she runs this place, she's sure as hell said something along those lines before.]

It's fine. I'm sure I can manage being tired and-- flying. I've done it before. No problems.

[What the hell is going on. Seriously.]

[It's exactly what Vash was expecting to hear from Nami apparently as he doesn't question her further.] If you're sure.

We'll see you when you're feeling better than.

[Oh, phew. Missing a whole bunch of memory (she thinks?) and she can still snowball random blond guys. Her smile immediately turns cheery and she heads for the door.]

Right! So-- I'll see you later.

[Buhbye :D?]

See ya! [Vash expects that to be the end of everything and he'll see Nami later.

That is until as he heads back towards the kitchen he spots her bag and change of clothes she left behind. He grabs the bag and hurries from the bar expecting to catch her before she got on her shuttle.

He wouldn't be gone too long so he doesn't worry too much about the bar.]

Hey! Nami! Wait! You forgot your bag!

[namisan]

[What's that, Vash? Did you say something?

Because Nami in all her wandering about by now has found the... shuttle... bay...

And may be pressed against the wall opposite one of those huge windows out into space, trying very hard not to freak out.]

[For a very brief moment Vash is happy he caught her before she took off. It's very brief, however, as that's clearly not the expression Vash expected to see on Nami's face. It's like the one most people have when they first wake up here.

Vash waves a hand in front of Nami's face.] Ah, Nami? You okay?

[namisan]

[Too bad for you, Vash. Because Nami has no idea he's there until SUDDENLY THERE IS A HAND right htere in front of her traumatised face and she gives a shriek, punching him down with her best right hook TAKE THAT]

[Vash thought maybe she's slap his hand away or point at the trouble she was seeing and he couldn't seem to spot. The shrieking right hook takes him completely by surprised and even his quick reflexes can't save him at this point.

With a crash he finds himself on the ground with a splitting headache.] AH! Nami! It's me! I was just bringing you your bag!

[namisan]

[Oh it's the guy with the broom hair. At this point the whole la la la everything's fine routine is out the window. She blinks down at him, then hauls him back up by the collar to scream in his face, gesturing at the wide window.]

WHAT IS THAT!?

[goldenglasses]

[As he recovers from the sudden whiplash and ruptured eardrums Vash peers out the window and sees nothing.]

Uh... a dirty window? But it's not my job to clean that one.

[Although he doesn't really believe that a joke like that is the answer Nami is looking for.]

Hey, Nami? [He grins a bit sheepishly as he's guessing she won't be able to answer his following question. If she can't then this is a rather nasty glitch.] What's my name?

[DON'T JOKE WITH ME VASH I AM NOT MY GOOD MATURE SELF or at least my mature-ish self

it's damn clear what she wanted to know and so her eyes narrow and she hisses an answer to that question:]

It's going to be dead meat unless you answer my question!!

[goldenglasses]

[Vash laughs meekly and nods his head. He gets it. They both know the gig is up and time for jokes is over.]

Alright. Alright. I get it. Just getting an idea on how much you may have forgotten.

Ah-- Oh man. Where do I start? So, as you can see, you're in space. [He gestures to the window she had been staring at.] You, me, and everyone on this ship and the ships you can see outside were brought her without warning to be contestants on some sort of reality show.

[Crap. That sounds super crazy. Vash holds his hands up in advanced surrender as he's guessing she may not believe him.] Honest!

[namisan]

[Okay, it's a ship. Okay. That's some grounds for familiarity. A ship in the ...sky? What a stupid idea ships can't fly--]

Space. Reality show.

[Repeating back those two concepts she gets the least. She tries to peel herself away from the wall and scuttle a little further away from the bay windows.]

Yeah, I thought it was crazy at first too, but hard to argue with those stars out there, huh?

That and when we show up we get these little, ah, chips installed too. They're pretty handy. Making it so even if you don't know anything about space you can do your job like flying a ship and such, but sometimes they have malfunctions.

For example, I think yours might be causing a slight memory problem as you've actually been here for over a year now.

[namisan]

You make less and less sense as you go. [It's an irritated and nervous snap, because honestly what the hell does chips installed mean-- but she also has no reason coming to mind that would make sense to her why she was in a bar in such a weird place where people know her by name.

...know her by name and still be friendly about it, anyway.]

I can't have been here for a year! I've got places to be! Debts to pay! [Ships to return to crews!] How do I get home?

[goldenglasses]

[Vash sighs in a mixture of frustration and surrender.] Yeah. I know.

[He scratches at his head before answering her question. How was he suppose to answer that without sounding more insane?] Well, you kind of have to win this show. No one really knows how.

Oh man, this really isn't sounding any better. Wait!! I know! [Vash will reach into his pocket and pull out his communicator.]

Here! Give me a second! I'm sure you're recorded somewhere on here talking to one of your crew members! Then you'll see that you have been here before and I'm not just some crazy guy who works in your kitchen!

[As crazy at least.]

[namisan]

[Nami backs up another step when he reaches into his pocket, hands bunching into fists. But when he pulls out some weird black thing and keeps talking, she eyes him as if he's even crazier before her curiosity starts tugging at her.

...yeah, okay. A recording.]

I don't have a crew. [Just putting that out there. Automatically.]

Maybe not at home, but here you do. [Vash doesn't act like he noticed the way her fists bunched as if ready to defend herself, but he does. Making a mental note not to reach into his pockets for a bit.

He plays with the communicator for a little bit and Nami may hear a jingle play after a couple moments.] No, no. That one probably isn't a good one. Back a bit further maybe? [He finally settles on an entry.] Oh, I think this was after Robin left. It's not very happy, but look, see? This was a couple months ago now. You really have been here.

[He offers the communicator out. Happy to keep holding it, but clearly offering her to take it if she wants a better look.]

[namisan]

[She leans forward to take a better look, though mostly she pays attention to the voices she can hear. Hers, definitely. People asking if she's okay. One that seems vaguely familiar (that tall guy?)

She sees the flash of distinctive orange hair, anyway, and her uncertainty only grows.]

...a year?

[goldenglasses]

Yeah. A year. I'm sorry. I know it's a lot to take in.

But ah, you run and own that bar back there. You captain one of the ships, but ah, I wouldn't really worry too much about that. People around here understand these glitches sometimes happen and they never last more than a few days.

[Normally.]

[Captain. A ship. She snorts.]

What kind of ship is it? Marine? Pirate? Or don't those qualifications matter up here?
