Iskaulit Mingle - Problems with Psychics
Who: Anyone on the Iskaulit!
Broadcast: If you'd like?!
Action: Iskaulit!
When: Today, as Sora's augment glitch starts.
[It's your average day on the Iskaulit. Absolutely nothing seems out of place initially, but without any warning- you might find yourself or your friends experiencing some problems. What's up on that?
In other words, it's an Iskaulit mingle with a twist! Come on in everyone! You don't need to interact with Sora to have it effect you, so feel free to start your own threadstarter! Or talk to Sora, that's cool too. ]

How long have you been up there?

A few minutes. I just caught myself before you happened along. [He's inching toward where she's standing, really not looking forward to what's certain to be a bit of an awkward transition.] At least it's not the first time I've had to deal with a malfunction like this.

Perhaps... maybe I could find something to tether you?

Some fearless Starfleet officer, huh?]

[No one wants that.]

Okay.

It's just a matter of physics. Push off in the right direction and momentum should take care of the rest. (He probably should have figured out where, exactly, the edge of this gravity-less patch is. He has a good general idea. Probably should have nailed it down, come to think of it. Which he does think of it, just about as he hits the edge of it and gravity happens again.)
Fortunately for him -- or unfortunately, depending on how one looks at it, McCoy has a lot of experience in falling. So sudden jolt toward the deck? Tuck and roll as gracefully as possible -- it's not, by the way -- and avoid an actual faceplant.
At least he missed landing on Beverly? But he does end up on the ground pretty much in front of her feet.]
I'm never doing that again.
[So he says. It'll probably hit him again next week, with his luck. He's pretty sure all he's got here in a bruised kneecap. But he's on the ground and not floating.
Small victories.]

Where does it hurt?

I won't tell anyone. [Grin.] Especially not Jim.

[He'd never let him live it down.]

[Not the least of which being the fact that the last time she met Dr. McCoy, he was an elderly man puttering around her sickbay on the Enterprise-D, passing along his wisdom - as well as grumpy proclamations about the old days.]
no subject
Actually, no. He'd be surprised to find out he lives that long.
He pushes himself to his feet and shakes his head.] Here I thought nothing could surprise anymore.

How does uncontrollable tap dancing sound to you?
no subject
[And he does, yes, sound horrified.]
