[It's your average day on the Iskaulit. Absolutely nothing seems out of place initially, but without any warning- you might find yourself or your friends experiencing some problems. What's up on that?

In other words, it's an Iskaulit mingle with a twist! Come on in everyone! You don't need to interact with Sora to have it effect you, so feel free to start your own threadstarter! Or talk to Sora, that's cool too. ]

[ Oh no, don't be excited like that. He looks at Misty. ]

That's.. uh. Not something I've ever been able to do before.

[ Immediately, he wonders if the serum is causing it, or his augment, or.. something. It doesn't feel right. ]

Don't worry, I didn't used to be able to either. I'll help you.

What do I do? [ How does he even go about controlling this? ]

[mistyday]

Well, first you gotta not freak out. It's why your magic's all squirrelly right now.

All right, all right.

[ He takes a deep, focusing breath and looks back at her. It's weird, he can feel the sensation in his hand, though it's more like an itch that needs scratching. ]

[mistyday]

That's it. [She smiles.] And I'm here, I promise I won't let anything happen.

[reconstitution]

[ He focuses on that feeling, trying to will it into something. It takes numerous attempts, but eventually the candelabra wavers gently upward and over to the table. Not a graceful landing by any means, but it's not on the floor anymore. ]

You make it look so easy.

That's only 'cause I've had lots of practice. Trust me, I was awful when I first started learning.

How did you even come about having your abilities? Were they given to you, or were you born with them?

[mistyday]

I was born with them. All witches are, but it might take a while before our powers start to manifest and they don't all come at the same time.

[reconstitution]

What came to you first? Oh- if you don't mind my asking.

[mistyday]

[Misty hesitates, though at this point, it ain't exactly a secret anymore. Lots of people know and no one has tried to hurt her yet (though Robb she's still leery of) for it, and Winter's one of her best friends' here so...]

The power of Resurgence. Resurrection. But not like zombies, like Jesus and Lazarus.

[Still, she's worried. How's he gonna react?]

I can imagine that it's caused you trouble.

[ That must be a hard power to wield, both in using it and living with the consequences. How does she decide who or what to bring back and what to return to the cycle? He typically thinks that what's dead should stay that way, but if the power was accessible, he doesn't know if his opinion would change.

It's definitely not something that exists in his world. ]

It must have been scary.

[mistyday]

[Her shoulders relax and she lets out a sigh. It's okay, he's okay, of course he would understand.]

I'm not scared of my powers, just... other people.

[reconstitution]

[ He can understand a little bit about having powers that are intimidating to other people. She gives life, he takes it away. Honestly, hers are the ones that should be revered. People tend to be afraid of things they don't fully understand. ]

That's smart.

[mistyday]

[She looks surprised that he would say so.]

You think? I hate being afraid.

[reconstitution]

It's better to be afraid and ready for what people can do than being brave and blindsided by cruelty.

[ It's not exactly what he wants to articulate, but she'll get the intention, he thinks. ]

Guess that's the practical thing, ain't it?

[reconstitution]

Not the best thing, but it keeps you alive.

[mistyday]

But it's different, here. I'm different.

[reconstitution]

Here, I think it's safe to say no one gives a fuck about your powers- just you.

[ She's charming, and wonderful. Her powers don't define her here, they're just added benefits of her company. ]

Not a bad place to call home.

[mistyday]

[Misty smiles and ducks her head bashfully.] No, it's not. Plenty of people I'd be proud to call family too.

There's people I don't know what I'd do without, anymore.

[ The world is a whole lot darker without some people in it. Misty included. ]
