Leto Atreides the II | OTA
[ Leto has passed listlessly through the halls, watching people. He'd been feeling disjointed of late and no way of fully expressing that. No one to talk to about what Loki had meant to him. Drifting along, he finally found himself at the hall of music and settled himself by a piano. Leto sinks himself into an ancient memory. Ivory keys and smoky bars. The empty scent of perfumes. He wasn't Leto, but someone else. Some forgotten person in history.
And he begins to play. It ranges from obscure to haunting before it graduates into a fervor, intense in the way he presses on the keys, digging his fingers in.
Then the piano breaks and the spell is broken. Leto blinks, waking up from the dream. He casts an alien look at the remains of the instrument. The people stare. ]
[ mr. sandman, bring me a dream. ]
[ Apparently, the hotel allows any kind of job so long as it's not disruptive. They seemed even bemused at his suggestion of a fortune teller's stand, complete with purple drapes and artificially lit crystal balls. Leto himself wears nothing special, but a thin black veil that does nothing to hide the eeriness of his vivid blue eyes. ]
Want to know the future?
[ wild card your story. ]
Sing Me A Song
He sees Leto when he comes to the more furious part of his playing, stopping to watch from afar as his fingers dug at the keys, the ivory straining and finally yielding to Leto's force with a dissonant crack, a death wail. Seeing everyone looking, Kirk stepped forward and to Leto's side, touching his shoulders as if he could use his own body to shield him from their sight. ]
I think you made a few hearts beat a bit faster.
no subject
They'll forget soon enough. Memory is a weak reminder for the heart.

[ Slowly Kirk reached down, taking Leto's shaking hand with his and squeezing gently. ]
They say that sounds and smells stay longer in the memory than sight. And a feeling - a feeling sticks with you most of all.
no subject
But memory lasts longer for me. I suppose I should be. Grateful.
and i think that my phone ate this one /sigh/ gmail is being weird :/

bring me a dream;
I know quite a bit about it but a bit more - why not.
[ she slips into a seat. she knows him, of course but a little game of pretend cannot hurt. ]

[ He leans back, tapping the crystal ball in amusement. Trinkets always held some sway. ]

Piano Man
Kitty places a hand lightly on his arm, ready to phase or withdraw if it bothers him.] Leto?
I don't think that's what they mean by bring the house down. [There's more concern than levity in her tone.]
no subject
[ Until it is forgotten. Human memory is weak. They don't retain the wealth that is given to him by the Spice. He is annoyed at himself though. Leto doesn't like breaking things.
Much less the implication that his control is slipping. ]

Mr Sandman
Hesitating for a moment, Remy stared at the stall before taking a step closer, his own glowing eyes showing over the top of his sunglasses.] Why not? Might be able to help me with a few bets later on in the night, hein?
no subject
I'm not that kind of fortune-teller. If you're not a good con-man, I suggest honing your skills.

[ He shrugs, nonchalant. ] As for women in your life, they tend to come and go. Or is it that you tend to come and go?
