[It sure is a lovely day actually pretty much indeterminate time period out here in the vast darkness of space, isn't it? I bet everyone's enjoying themselves, getting a chance to get off their dinky little ship and stretch their legs. Even on this shitty, empty little waystation.

Where are you, droot flooters? What are you up to? Stay out of trouble, now.]

[ooc: hi everyone! I thought I'd give this a try and see how the game liked it. What we have here is a mass mingle post. Rather than everyone making a bunch of different posts about landing on the station, everyone is invited to post a parent comment with their character out and about, doing something. Everyone else is invited to look at who's posted, tag them, post their own parent comments, thread jack, tag around and generally have a grand old time! It should hopefully be a nice low-pressure way to do some action tagging with each other.

[There's not much room to move on the Red Fish. Hange is taking the opportunity the waystation provides to do a more serious workout.

What this amounts to is that anyone who's in the shopping area or around the docks is bound to notice her thundering by at a rapid pace. She does three laps at a time, then goes to the central ring to do some strength exercises - it looks like she knows at least ten kinds of pushups and situps to do, all to hit different areas, and she manages to jump and catch one of the plastic limbs on the dumb fake trees and chin herself.

She's breathing hard, already starting to drip sweat, but looks happy. She was getting restless being cooped up. It's hard for someone used to workouts that maintain the body that can use the 3-D maneuver gear to downgrade to simply... running on a treadmill.]

[The thing about being an angel is that you don't exactly need exercise. The body was what it was, and even though he looks like a pudgy bastard, looks are definitely deceiving. But just like Hange, he still occasionally craves movement and physical challenge. A fight would be better, but this will do in a pinch.

As she returns to the middle for her round of push-ups, Michael is suddenly there beside her, matching her movements with a grin.]

[She jumps when he appears beside her, though it's less like a jump since she's mid-pushup and more like a full-body jerk. Then she laughs, and then she finishes her set, dropping her knees to the fake but springy ground and looking at him with a smile.]

Where did you come from?!

That's a loaded question.

[Michael smiles, doing a few more effortless push-up before hopping up to his feet, rolling his shoulders back. It's clear already that Hange seems far more quick and agile than him, though he doesn't lack for endurance.

i'm assuming he has his wings out! all the time yes?

[She would respond to that smart remark... but she's way more interested in what she can see behind him a little bit. Her eyes widen and she staaares.]

... Are those wings?

sorry! They're under the coat now but always out. Easy enough to spot.

[ Cecil enjoys a good work-out herself, but seeing how she's not exactly dressed for exercise, she doesn't participate at the moment. Instead, she watches Hange for a while from a distance in the shopping area, then when she sees her speed off to the center for more intense drills, she decides to buy a bottle of water and bring a towel for the other woman. ]

Don't forget to take a break!

[ She smiles at the other captain and bends down beside her as she does her push-ups to offer her the water and the towel. ]

[Hange is working out in the clothes she arrived in: a cream shirt with a high collar, white pants that look like they used to be completely pristine but have now seen better days, very high black boots flared at the knee. She glances at Cecil mid-pushup set and laughs a little, more like a catch of breath, but finishes her set before she stops moving.]

Thanks. I wish we had our water barrels here.

I'm sure they probably have some other strange way of keeping the athletically-inclined hydrated with this advanced technology.

[ Cecil jokes lightly. She's still wearing her flex armor suit that the security-augmented crew is supplied with, which, while far better than the jumper or even her own royal garments, doesn't really provide her with the amount of mobility she would like. ]

Haha! [Joking in turn!] Maybe it's in the air, how about that? [Now she stretches her arms over her head and strains her body until her entire skeleton resettles. You can hear a tiny symphony of joints popping.]

You look dressed for business.

[ She laughs softly, amused. She wouldn't actually be surprised if that was true. ]

Well, we don't know a lot about the way-stations yet, so I figured it was best to be prepared, just in case.

Plus, it's more comfortable for me to wear instead of those hideous jumpers.

[Nel has fallen so far out of his physical routine--between being cooped up on a ship, and the trainwreck that was his last place of residence--it hadn't even occurred to him to get some exercise. Not until he sees this person jog by the bench he's been lounging around on, and hop up to haul their chin up over a tree-limb]

--Oh, wow! You're really in shape.

[She pauses, arms extended and now hanging down from the tree, to look at who's speaking and then grin in a friendly way.]

Of course! I have to be. Don't want to lose my edge!

Oh yeah? What do you do?

[She drops to the ground, since it seems like this guy wants to chat. It seems like they'll be able to relax here for a while, she can finish her workout later today.]

I'm a soldier! So you see, I need to stay fit. What about you? [He looks like babyface young to her, but new recruits from her home enlist in the military at twelve.

... not that Nel looks like a soldier.]

[yeah, a pretty athletic little body, but not exactly the soldier type. he looks like he'd be outpaced in no time flat if he tried to race anybody. or anything dangerous.]

Oh wow, yeah. You'd need to be really strong, huh?

And I'm just a dancer. ...Sort of.

[Del has never watched someone work out with quite so much vigor. It's enthralling. So she might be trailing after Hange as she bounces around the station working up a sweat and being all in-shape.

Curiosity did not kill the Endless because they just don't work like that, so Del never learned the lessons that would stop her from touching things she probably shouldn't, or trying to taste sweat that has landed on the ground.]

[The hell did she just see someone doing.

Hange isn't bothered by being observed or followed, but she is a little curious as to why someone would be lapping her sweat off the floor... did she see that right? She takes a break to talk to this interesting person.]

If you're thirsty, I'm pretty sure there's some water you can drink! It'd taste better than that.

[She pulls her fingers out of her mouth a little guiltily.]

There was a place that thought if you ate the bits of things you got all the good parts those bits had in them.

[Del's shoulders hunch a tiny bit inward, and she chews on her lip while blinking her mismatched blue-and-green eyes at Hange.]

[She drops down from her impromptu pullup bar... turns around to find the source of that whistle... looks at Robin... and promptly whistles back.]

Well, I'd rather not! But who knows, we meet be called to. [Her face cracks into a giant grin.]

So we better be ready!
