[Dorian spends a fair deal of time poking around the ship before deciding to try out sending a broadcast. He's not entirely certain how he knows how to use the device, only that he does, and that almost unnerves him.

Still, his voice is pleasant, almost chipper.]

Well, if this isn't a curious little jaunt that I didn't exactly expect to take this afternoon. I do hope someone might be able to enlighten me as to where, exactly, I am...and when, for that matter. ...and where one might find passable reading material would also be appreciated.

[Fenris doesn't much care for new arrivals. He hasn't the patience to explain things to them, new as he is to the Fleet. But a Tevinter accent is enough to make him pay attention. He squints at the man on the screen, trying to decide how much of a threat he is. Without the staff, it's hard to tell if he's a mage or not. He looks fairly well off, though, so Fenris is going to assume the worst.

The last time he threatened someone, Merrill got in the way of things, so he decides instead, to speak in Tevene. Work out how much of a threat this is without her or Varric coming in and trying to convince him otherwise. It's for their own good, really.]

[Curious, very curious. Dorian wishes he could see more of the other person, study them, figure them out a bit, but the communication was lacking for that.

Tevene is both a welcome tongue, and one that he speaks with the warm caution of a magister. He knows how to play the games that speakers of Tevene need, though he finds them loathsome.]

So it would seem. But not so quite alone as I had thought, apparently.

Do not fool yourself. Tevinter has not been a home for me for many years. I would sooner watch it burn.

Oh yes, a spaceship, to be more precise. The majority of us are on a number of smaller ones. I'm Belthazor and I would say I'm pleased to meet you, but I don't know yet.

[ There is of course the broadcast to be seen and heard on the various monitors inside the Marsiva, but where's the fun in sticking to that when it's much easier to just seek out Dorian himself. There's a bit of navigating hallways since he'd been wandering some, but all he has to do is listen for the sound of...well, anything really, and it leads him back to a room very similar to the one he awoke in.

Clay hovers in the doorway rather than enter right away, brows quirked with interest. ]

[Dorian turns, nodding, and offered a small smile. Anything to keep up appearances as the unflappable Tevinter Magister, nevermind that sinking feeling in his gut that something was terribly wrong.

No, this was a mystery, one he could put his mind to in an effort to distract himself.]

And I was under the same impression. Dorain Pavus, and who might you be?

Clay. Nice to meet you mister Dorian. [ It seems like he ought to address him with mister; there's some sort of official feel to him. ] Did you wake here only recently? I didn't notice anyone earlier.

[ Fenris might think he's being sneaky, but him suddenly speaking to someone in another language is more suspicious than him openly threatening them. Fenris you did the opposite. ]

Are you a friend of Fenris's?

[ Because that idea is crazy enough to excuse being a rude brat and forgoing all offers of help, suggestions, and introduction! Good job, Merrill. She'll feel bad about that in a few seconds. ]
