[while she hasn't been actively looking for anyone she knows - she hasn't reached that level of desperation yet, as out of place as she feels - she has been keeping an eye out, and when she isn't doing that she's in the forests, much preferring their peaceful quiet to the busy rumble of the markets.

And it's safe to say she's also been sleeping out here, far more comfortable with being under the trees than under a roof. She could stay at an inn, she's been doing odd jobs here and there in order to earn currency, but nothing quite beats sleeping under the stars. And doing so when your life wasn't in danger? Was amazing.

It's on her trek back to the place she's claimed as her camping spot when she finally spots Erik, and she immediately detours to head up to meet him . . . and picks up a few acorns along the way. She's been in a surprisingly decent mood, all things considered, and that usually comes out as playful and mischievous -

Which is why she greets him by tossing an acorn at the back of his head. Because she is nothing if not a mature adult]

[Erik, ever the 'fun' one of any group, snaps his head up and plunges a hand into his pocket - before realising who the culprit was. He lets out a sharp, exasperated breath as he releases the screws he'd grabbed hold of, shaking his head at Tempest.]

You're lucky I'm in a forgiving mood, given the local populace.

[she pockets the rest of her ammo for now, since she'd been successful in her mischief]

Vanishingly rare. I'm unapproachable.

[Both of them know that won't happen. It's a matter of who breaks first.]

[He sighs.] I'll make an exception, just this once.

[He cracks a real smile, finally.] It's good to see you in the flesh, Tempest.

[gosh real names are weird. But she's taking that as permission to step in to hug him - though given the planet and it's effect, she keeps it brief]

You too, Erik. It's certainly better than those damned - whatever they're called.

[grandstanding]

[He gives her a hug back, brief but genuine.]

Space ships, my dear. And I know - they're terrible.

Yes, those. I am very thankful I wasn't there for very long.

[grandstanding]

You may find yourself having to return there. I daresay we'll be leaving this planet in a few weeks time. That's how it goes, here.

I do not mind having to return, I have done so a few times . . . I just do not like the idea of being stuck on one again. I felt off when I was on the one in the stars - the Marsiva?

[grandstanding]

[He grunts, remembering his own claustrophobia.] When they travel between planets, there's nowhere else to go. What do you mean, 'off'?

[she crosses her arms with a frown] Lovely. [her nose wrinkles] Off, like . . . cut off? My main source of magic comes from nature.

[grandstanding]

Ah. That makes sense, then. If a ship is in orbit, it's likely too far away from anything like that to register.

[noprophecies]

[she sighs] Mmm. It's annoying, but I have other magic I can use in the event it is necessary.

. . . I suppose I could bring a few plants onto the ship, but I do not know how well that will work.

[grandstanding]

You could ask the Vision, on the Windrose. He's built a garden in the cargo hold of that ship. There's a communal garden area on the Iskaulit as well.

I suppose I could . . . [she tilts her head] What is the Iskaulit?

[grandstanding]

It's another ship, but no one lives on it. [He leans back against the fence rail, gesturing as he talks.] From what Nightingale has told me, it used to belong to an alien species, only the Fleet was 'gifted' it after the inhabitants died off. Now it's used as a hub space. There are a number of rooms in there that people do things with. The garden is one of those projects.

It is a worthwhile project, I would think, especially if one is to be stuck in the stars for a long period of time.

[she moves to lean next to him] What else is there, if there are other rooms in use?
