[Erik, ever the 'fun' one of any group, snaps his head up and plunges a hand into his pocket - before realising who the culprit was. He lets out a sharp, exasperated breath as he releases the screws he'd grabbed hold of, shaking his head at Tempest.]

You're lucky I'm in a forgiving mood, given the local populace.

My, is that a rarity?

[she pockets the rest of her ammo for now, since she'd been successful in her mischief]
grandstanding: (Floating Head Villain.)

[personal profile] grandstanding 2016-07-17 04:26 am (UTC)(link)
Vanishingly rare. I'm unapproachable.
noprophecies: (005)

[personal profile] noprophecies 2016-07-17 04:28 am (UTC)(link)
Oh dear, you do look unapproachable. Perhaps I should leave you be.
grandstanding: (The heart of this town has grown cold.)

[personal profile] grandstanding 2016-07-17 04:47 am (UTC)(link)
Perhaps you should.

[Both of them know that won't happen. It's a matter of who breaks first.]
noprophecies: (026)

[personal profile] noprophecies 2016-07-17 04:48 am (UTC)(link)
[well, considering she's coming closer . . . ]

What will you do if I don't?
grandstanding: (Do not speak as loud as my heart.)

[personal profile] grandstanding 2016-07-17 04:52 am (UTC)(link)
I'll be forced to leave, naturally.
noprophecies: (017)

[personal profile] noprophecies 2016-07-17 04:53 am (UTC)(link)
But we are due a touching reunion, dear. That would be quite rude of you.
grandstanding: (Intellectualisms.)

[personal profile] grandstanding 2016-07-17 05:12 am (UTC)(link)
[He sighs.] I'll make an exception, just this once.
noprophecies: (019)

[personal profile] noprophecies 2016-07-17 05:13 am (UTC)(link)
I appreciate your sacrifice.
grandstanding: (Never tear us apart)

[personal profile] grandstanding 2016-07-17 05:39 am (UTC)(link)
[He cracks a real smile, finally.] It's good to see you in the flesh, Tempest.
noprophecies: (028)

[personal profile] noprophecies 2016-07-17 05:43 am (UTC)(link)
[gosh real names are weird. But she's taking that as permission to step in to hug him - though given the planet and it's effect, she keeps it brief]

You too, Erik. It's certainly better than those damned - whatever they're called.
grandstanding: (Since someone looked at me that way.)

[personal profile] grandstanding 2016-07-17 11:52 am (UTC)(link)
[He gives her a hug back, brief but genuine.]

Space ships, my dear. And I know - they're terrible.
noprophecies: (022)

[personal profile] noprophecies 2016-07-18 12:59 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, those. I am very thankful I wasn't there for very long.
grandstanding: (I read your thesis and it sucked)

[personal profile] grandstanding 2016-07-18 10:19 am (UTC)(link)
You may find yourself having to return there. I daresay we'll be leaving this planet in a few weeks time. That's how it goes, here.
noprophecies: (011)

[personal profile] noprophecies 2016-07-18 10:36 am (UTC)(link)
I do not mind having to return, I have done so a few times . . . I just do not like the idea of being stuck on one again. I felt off when I was on the one in the stars - the Marsiva?
grandstanding: (My premonition of the world.)

[personal profile] grandstanding 2016-07-19 10:11 am (UTC)(link)
[He grunts, remembering his own claustrophobia.] When they travel between planets, there's nowhere else to go. What do you mean, 'off'?
noprophecies: (012)

[personal profile] noprophecies 2016-07-19 10:59 am (UTC)(link)
[she crosses her arms with a frown] Lovely. [her nose wrinkles] Off, like . . . cut off? My main source of magic comes from nature.
grandstanding: thesnowsfall @ insanejournal (Oh damn. He's dead.)

[personal profile] grandstanding 2016-07-19 12:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Ah. That makes sense, then. If a ship is in orbit, it's likely too far away from anything like that to register.
noprophecies: (018)

[personal profile] noprophecies 2016-07-19 12:08 pm (UTC)(link)
[she sighs] Mmm. It's annoying, but I have other magic I can use in the event it is necessary.

. . . I suppose I could bring a few plants onto the ship, but I do not know how well that will work.
grandstanding: (I read your thesis and it sucked)

[personal profile] grandstanding 2016-07-20 10:09 am (UTC)(link)
You could ask the Vision, on the Windrose. He's built a garden in the cargo hold of that ship. There's a communal garden area on the Iskaulit as well.
noprophecies: (032)

[personal profile] noprophecies 2016-07-20 10:12 am (UTC)(link)
I suppose I could . . . [she tilts her head] What is the Iskaulit?
grandstanding: (Intellectualisms.)

[personal profile] grandstanding 2016-07-22 09:42 am (UTC)(link)
It's another ship, but no one lives on it. [He leans back against the fence rail, gesturing as he talks.] From what Nightingale has told me, it used to belong to an alien species, only the Fleet was 'gifted' it after the inhabitants died off. Now it's used as a hub space. There are a number of rooms in there that people do things with. The garden is one of those projects.
noprophecies: (018)

[personal profile] noprophecies 2016-07-22 07:44 pm (UTC)(link)
It is a worthwhile project, I would think, especially if one is to be stuck in the stars for a long period of time.

[she moves to lean next to him] What else is there, if there are other rooms in use?
grandstanding: (This hat is for business.)

[personal profile] grandstanding 2016-07-23 03:01 am (UTC)(link)
A range of things. There's a training room with equipment, some bars, a library, an art studio, a religious space...
