Not so much. I do need to do a couple of arm exercises every day so I can keep myself in shape but physical therapy is no longer necessary.

[Relieved, she settles to the side, sneaking her legs over one arm of his chair. She rests her head against his shoulder. This is good. This is basically the exact opposite of the last several weeks. And Charles is great. Him and Winter are the people she trusts most on the world.]

It seems like a nice place. Everyone's so friendly. Even if it freaks me out a little when people I don't know touch me. It's nothing wrong with them though. [Combat fatigue, PTSD, paranoia... She's glad she's not as twitchy as Maine.] And then they're really nice so it's okay.

It's how they behave around others. I think it's also somewhat taken over the normal means of communication. Dialogue is rather unnecessary when you can simply project things.

Oh, is that what they're doing? [She's not bothered by that part at all.] That seems really nice. I guess I haven't noticed.

That makes sense. Not everyone is comfortable with physical contact and should be, either.

I like hugging people, though. [When it's people she knows and trusts. It's maybe a weird thing that she's more comfortable with the idea of having sex with a stranger than sitting with one the way she's sitting with Charles.]

So how does the... broadcasting thing work?

That's right. It's in the center of the forest. Erik and I tried it a few days ago.

I'm kind of tired of asking people for help all the time. If I can, I'd like to just... Not for a while. It's my turn to help other people.

[She reaches to rest one hand on his cheek, leaning her forehead against his jaw.]

[You deserve it. I don't.]

[ He doesn't reply to that, threading his fingers in her hair. He quietly presses a kiss to her forehead. ]

Don't wish such things. I'm not unhappy.

[It hurts, in a way. She closes her eyes.]

I wasn't either. [But she didn't deserve what she had, even then. She has top find some way to earn this chance. She needs to do good work.]
