I think John would find a way to understand no matter what I did. He's a little ridiculous like that.
axiomed: (Save them from the madness)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-07-14 06:52 am (UTC)(link)
[ He blinks, surprised that she calls him by his name. ]

Ridiculous, but charming too, I'm sure.
brainiest: (i'll come back there!!!)

[personal profile] brainiest 2016-07-14 06:56 am (UTC)(link)
That's just how he's always been. He's literally superhuman, and becoming the son of the God of Death didn't really change that either.

[ Surprise, Charles. Technical granddaughter of death here... ]
axiomed: (Wasting my days)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-07-14 09:45 am (UTC)(link)
. . . I'm afraid you lost me somewhere.
brainiest: (now with more hair)

[personal profile] brainiest 2016-07-14 06:24 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh!

[ ... Yes, the Drabwurld can be a bit messy. ]

John Grimm was my adoptive father in the Drabwurld. Before I adopted him he... Died, but returned as something known as the Son of the Shuck, part of the God of Death's pack. That's how he became the Son of the God of Death.
axiomed: (The past the present the future too)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-07-15 12:52 am (UTC)(link)
Of course.

[ Faintly. ] I don't know what I expected.
brainiest: please don't take! (sunshines and daises)

[personal profile] brainiest 2016-07-15 06:12 am (UTC)(link)
My little brother was also the son of Hades.

[ ... Surprise. ]
axiomed: (By the end of the day)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-07-15 09:07 am (UTC)(link)
Of course he was.

[ He's not doubting, but Charles is amused nonetheless. Hermione has a way of befriending anyone. ]
brainiest: (hot damn)

[personal profile] brainiest 2016-07-15 04:47 pm (UTC)(link)
It sounds a little more ridiculous than it actually was.

[ Hermione shakes her head, pushing her hair from her face. ]
axiomed: (What brought us to this)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-07-16 02:24 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I've met my share of ridiculous people, though nothing on the scale you're used to.
brainiest: please don't take! (love house elf rights)

[personal profile] brainiest 2016-07-16 09:50 am (UTC)(link)
I doubt you were almost engaged to a heroic spirit that was the embodiment of the legend of Gilgamesh who also tried to kill you- actually, let's not talk about that.

[ She shakes her head, forcing a smile. ]
axiomed: (Feeling sorry is your favourite feeling)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-07-16 10:00 am (UTC)(link)
No, nothing that amazing.

[ Tyki had killed him once, monsters killing monsters. He had long forgotten that - or any of the amazing connections he had made. Charles only had eyes for the future. ]
brainiest: (just raining on my face)

[personal profile] brainiest 2016-07-16 10:03 am (UTC)(link)
I don't think almost murder is amazing. He only wanted me for my power anyway.

[ Hermione shakes her head, lifting her hand and touching it to Charles' before it goes up, tilting his head to look at her. It's a rather awkward role reversal, but she deals with it. ]

It's history now, but that doesn't mean it goes away, right?
axiomed: (And lived everyday)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-07-16 10:12 am (UTC)(link)
No. It's not meant to go away, just to inform. And even then, it should informs us gently.
brainiest: (i regret this decision)

[personal profile] brainiest 2016-07-16 10:14 am (UTC)(link)
Something like that. [ She makes a small noise, mostly frustrated. ] I really miss my Pensieve.
brainiest: (brainstorm session)

[personal profile] brainiest 2016-07-16 10:26 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, um, it was like a bowl, but it was enchanted so you could deposit and view memories? It's how you showed me your sister.
axiomed: (What brought us to this)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-07-17 02:23 am (UTC)(link)
[ He rubs his chin. ]

I vaguely recall that. But why would I use that and not -- [ He waves his hand close to his head to gesture at his mind. ]
brainiest: (friendly conversation)

[personal profile] brainiest 2016-07-17 06:33 am (UTC)(link)
When I was given it as a boon I showed you it, and I think you were curious about how it worked. It's not too different from telepathy, except it feels like I'm there in the memory as I watch it. Just invisible.
axiomed: (I couldn't give you all)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-07-17 07:30 am (UTC)(link)
So it's like a projection . . . I was testing that out with Hank a month ago.
brainiest: (dumbass pedestrians)

[personal profile] brainiest 2016-07-18 07:41 pm (UTC)(link)
A little bit, I suppose, except you're projected into the memory, rather than someone projecting themselves. You can see everything that happened and - well, it's obvious that sometimes people can jump to conclusions. I mostly used it to help clear my mind sometimes.
axiomed: (Pictures in your head at night)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-07-19 01:54 am (UTC)(link)
Fascinating . . . [ He trails off. It sounded close to what he was attempting with Hank, bringing the memory to the forefront, like being the actor on a movie set. ]

Clear your mind how?
brainiest: (that is the ugliest effin' skirt)

[personal profile] brainiest 2016-07-19 08:32 pm (UTC)(link)
[ She wishes she had it with her, but she supposes her lioness form is as good a trade off as a Pensieve. ]

Oh! Um, I can put memories in there and they're not gone, but it's harder to remember them. It makes my mind a little bit less tangled up, I think.
axiomed: (You mean nothing to me anymore)

[personal profile] axiomed 2016-07-20 03:13 am (UTC)(link)
Like . . . a different perspective.

[ The memory shards behaved in such a way, though they were still entrenched in the feelings of the person. ]
brainiest: (what's up)

[personal profile] brainiest 2016-07-20 08:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Exactly, it's just like that. It's nice to have a break from how crowded my mind can get sometimes.
