Hey everybody, this is Sorey. I'm just checking in, seeing if everything's okay. Oh, and paperwork for new upgrades will be coming in soon, so if there's anything anybody would like to see upgraded, cast your votes now!

Oh also, we don't have any lab support personnel. I know Mikleo's been doing some stuff but if you know anybody looking to transfer who'd like the use of the lab, could you let 'em know? I'll include a call out in my public broadcast in a sec.

I'm kind of curious; so there are a lot of different kinds of forces or energies here that are a lot like the ones back on my planet, but they don't seem to behave the same way here. Like the rules are different. Is anybody else running against that?

And as an aside, if there's any potential lab personnel looking for a place, the Huntress has an unoccupied lab, for now.

We have enough supplies to last us a while, but we can't restock unless someone with that specialization is present. I checked the supply options and they're grayed out.

...If we don't have any viable alternatives, I could look into getting my augment changed.

[Reluctance aside, it's rare for him to even mention the augments, a sure sign that he's taking the option seriously. He, Lailah, and even Dezel can use healing artes, but they're not cure-alls.]

Mikleo, no. You don't have to do that, we can figure out a trade with another ship or something. Rose had been coaching me on ordering! It can't be much different.

I don't like the idea of leaving it up to chance. What if there's some kind of medical emergency, or someone gets sick, and seraphic artes can't fix it? It wouldn't be fair to rely only on the other ships. Besides, we already have someone else with a communications augment, and it's never been a very fitting role for me, anyway.

[Ever the pragmatic. He's hoping that the logical way that he's tackling this will put Sorey at ease somewhat. It isn't like this is the only time he's thought about this issue, he just hasn't wanted - or felt the need - to verbalize it until now.]

Also, it doesn't have as much of an impact on my world as... well, say, malevolence in yours.

I think the kitchen is about as fancy as it can get. [He's not sure what else they can add. The forms only go up to Rank 3, for now, and he doesn't need many fancy appliances. Otherwise none of them would've been able to make snacks on the go.] Maybe the actual cook has an idea.

I...hm. I guess it would be mana, technically? That's what seraphim are made up of, but they don't really use it to cast artes. There's kind of a lot of mysteries surrounding seraphim.

I do not know - I have not tried to work any Art, not beyond my Songs, at any rate, and at that only the simpler ones. The Songs here are strange, but no stranger than I would expect for a foreign world and place. You might try asking my cousin Finrod, when he wakes from slumber - his family have always had strong gifts, in that regard?

I used to be the lab support here, when I was first on the Huntress. I've forgotten a lot of what I used to know since my augment changed, but if we need it I could always switch back...I think.

You don't have to worry about it; Mikleo's mentioned he wants to switch. I think he thinks you're much better suited for talking to people.

It doesn't feel like it does back on Thedas. Magic still works ok, but it's... I dunno, more potent in a way? Maybe because on other planets it doesn't have to go through the Veil or whatever.

More potent? Wow, that's weird. I mean, you'd think if anything it'd be less potent, since we're always in space. Do you notice it being any stronger when we arrive at planets?
