[ For a moment, Carl is struck dumbfounded, looking at the beautiful display of stars that seem so much closer than he's ever seen them. The insecurities start shouting at him- things he knew in his heart but were painful to hear. You can't do it. You're just a monster- a pretender. Better people have died because of you. You can't do it. You're not worthy. The truth of the matter is that he knows he's not not. Even if people had tried to convince him otherwise. Carl lets go of the hammer with a startled yelp, glancing around the large room wildly. ]

[ the room doesn't seem to change. all the stars have faded into the light. ]

[ Once he regains his composure, he takes another good look around, spotting Loki out the door- which is where he heads immediately. ] ...Loki? What is this place?

[ Loki seems a little … different. Someone seems to have taken a brush to his face, because there are swathes of blue in a zig-zag pattern and one of his eyes seem to be a dark, blood red. His form seems to flicker on and off as if he’s not truly there and his voice tends to distort, like radio static. When you step onto the bridge, you can hear the siren song of the V̵̙͓̦̺͆͗̋ͩ̒ͅo͓͓̹͎̪ͪ͂ͧ̓ͨ̋͞i̭͎̹͍ͤ͊̆d͏͓͔̭̜͚, calling for your oblivion. ]

It is the Bifrost. Where the universe is connected.

[ It's a little strange, the closer he gets to Loki and sees his face- almost like he's wearing a mask. It feels wrong out on the bridge, and if he felt small inside, it's even worse out where Loki is. ] This is the Bifrost? I always imagined it... I don't know? Different. It's pretty. [ It's hard to ignore the absolutely nothingness around them. ]

[ he shrugs. ]

It is called the Rainbow Bridge after all. Asgard was fond of aesthetics.
