Before you post your toplevel comment, please:
1. Check the first letter of your character's name as its written in our tags. A-M names comment here, and N-Z names go to the other post.
2. Make a note in your comment if anything especially triggering or graphic might show up in the Calibration. If you're not sure if something's worth noting or not, we suggest listing it anyway, just to err on the side of caution.
3. Put your character's name (it can be shortened or different from the tag, this time) in the subject of your comment. This will help visitors find you easily, and help us update the list below.
4. Post your comment! It's fine if everyone's Calibrations end up looking and reading very different from one another. As long as you're having fun and following our guidelines, you're good to go. :)
5. If you have any questions or concerns during Calibrations, you are welcome to send them towards the mod team at any time, as always.

[ Welcome to the bifrost observatory. It is a large expansive space with whorls of gold in spiral designs upon the walls. It makes you feel small, with how vast and large the space is. After all, it was meant to transport great numbers at a time. But this one is slightly different from the one that used to be on Asgard. This place is full of light. It’s almost searing but also inviting in the way the particles dance and move across the room, like tiny stars. There are blue cracks that run all over the observatory, not deep enough to cause a fissure but ever-present throughout the area. They all seem to lead to the middle of the observatory where the Bifrost Sword used to reside. Instead, in the center, sits Mjolnir, the runes clear to anyone who wishes to read them.
“Whosoever holds this hammer, if he be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor”
There’s also a red cloak draped near the pedestal, much like Thor’s.
To the north-east, there seems to be a stack of books, haphazardly thrown onto a table.
To the north-west, a single blue Tesseract is placed on a pedestal
Behind you, on the sides of the doorway now closed are some tapestries, hanging quietly.
There seems to be a single doorway that leads to a broken bridge, jagged at the edges and rainbow-coloured. There, Loki stands, teetering on the edge, looking down. Below, the V̵̙͓̦͆͗̋ͩ̒o͓͓̹͎̪ͪ͂ͧ̓ͨ̋͞i̭͎̹͍ͤ͊̆d͏͓͔̭̜͚ waits. ]

They've met before, in other worlds. She's quite sure he no longer remembers her, but she'll keep her guard up just the same.
Would that she could quietly leave again and not disturb this place. Instead, she drifts to the books, glancing at the titles, and reaches out to straighten them into a more respectful pile.]

Eventually she makes her way to the observatory proper, exploring the place carefully, like a museum to be examined. She doesn't notice Loki at first; her eyes are drawn initially to the hammer, reading the runes, and her fingers itch to try but she opts not to, not just yet. She's not feeling especially worthy today. Curiosity draws her instead towards the pedestal carrying the Tesseract, because hell yeah, big glowing magic item? Of course she wants to poke at it.
On the way, however, she brushes past the center pedestal, her hand gliding instinctively over the fabric of the red cape.]

It should be noted that with his blue skin and dark hair, he doesn't look unlike a Frost Giant; the armor and cape he wear wouldn't look out of place in the Nine Realms, either. The only feature that sets him apart are the glowing eyes (ice-blue) and the magical sense he exudes, a sharp electric-flavored Light.]

So many sensations to tease the mind. The air feels tinged with magical intent. She can feel the call, the beckoning of the objects, though for a few moments she remains still, to observe, to take it all in. So many stars. So many cracks. Inner worlds were so... fascinating, really.
She slowly glances behind her, noting the closed door but not minding. Something about the tapestries had made her want to take notice of them. ]

But here he is, standing in some golden crazy ass clock-looking thing with blue cracks everywhere. It doesn't exactly seem the most stable of places to be, so Taako creeps carefully through the room, ears pinned back. He sees the hammer, reads the runes and nopes the fuck right outta there. He is definitely not touching Thor's crazy hammer. Not about that life. Books are for nerds and the red cloak reminds him too much of Lup.
Which leaves the brilliant blue cube shining on its own pedestal like a beacon. He can see Loki standing out there, looking down at something, but it's this cube that draws his attention first. Would Loki even notice if he tried to lift it? He's pretty preoccupied....
Fuck it. Taako reaches out and makes a grab at the Tesseract.]

That is the first thought Kirk has when he steps inside, looking around the observatory. The way the light moves feels like he's floating in a real sea of stars, without the ever present danger of running out of air or freezing to death if his suit should crack. He reached out with his fingers, as if he could run his fingers through the light and make it ripple.
Eventually his attention was drawn to the items laying about the room - hammer, cloak, books, the glowing blue cube, tapestries. He walked around, inspecting them all one by one. Last the hammer, done in what he would recognize as Nordic, though if Loki was to be believed, this had inspired the Nords and not the other way around.
Glancing down, he saw the cloak, and without thinking, reaching down, fingers twisting in the red fabric.. ]

Mjolnir certainly catches his eye, but he doesn't move towards it just yet. First he chooses what's likely the most inconspicuous part of the room, and heads to the pile of books, picking one of them up and leafing through the pages. ]

He almost goes straight for the books. The moment he spots them he's already headed over, bypassing the weapons, the glowing cube, and the entrance to the bridge-
Until he doubles back and sees Loki standing there.
And he's unsteady.
Immediately Sorey bolts for him, crying out,] Loki! Loki step back, it's dangerous!

His eyes fall on Mjolnir which draws him closer. Thor's hammer in the center of the room? Subtle, Loki.
He walks to it and rests his hand on the end of it, remembering what it was like to pick it up, once. Or at least try to.]

The place isn't accurate to life, he knows that much immediately. He also knows who it must belong to. Other than himself, there is no one else in the Fleet who would think of themselves in this space. That worries him already, knowing he's intruding somewhere and how Loki feels about that. On another level though it calms him. He has some idea of what to expect. More than that, it's still his brother.
Finally he takes a breath and turns to approach the tapestries. He's seen Mjolnir of course, ominous and obvious in the centre of the room. Thor feels no need to try and lift it though. Not just yet.]
