[As far as he's concerned he doesn't need another reason. She's Lup and she's his friend. He wants to open himself to everything that she is. Accept all of her. Even whatever this is.]

[And he's still standing where he was, still waiting. It's clear that he means what he has to say about himself. He fully believes himself to be a monster but that it's okay. There are people out there who still want him despite that. Lup deserves to have that too.]

[And she doesn't move in for a hug, not really. She doesn't hug just anyone, whether she's corporeal or not, and this place still reeks of misery and negative energy. A bit of accepting positivity can't cure that.
She does move closer, though, and since his posture is starting to look uncomfortable she reaches out and slaps a skeletal hand to his palm. Low-five! It's... something. Even if it'll pass right through him.]

[Shin-Ah looks to her now. He's still not afraid or bothered by her form. She might as well look like an elf right now for all he cares really. Because like he said before...she's Lup. He likes her and cares about her no matter what form she takes.]
