dreams in digital
( for A-M characters )
Before you post your toplevel comment, please:
1. Check the first letter of your character's name as its written in our tags. A-M names comment here, and N-Z names go to the other post.
2. Make a note in your comment if anything especially triggering or graphic might show up in the Calibration. If you're not sure if something's worth noting or not, we suggest listing it anyway, just to err on the side of caution.
3. Put your character's name (it can be shortened or different from the tag, this time) in the subject of your comment. This will help visitors find you easily, and help us update the list below.
4. Post your comment! It's fine if everyone's Calibrations end up looking and reading very different from one another. As long as you're having fun and following our guidelines, you're good to go. :)
5. If you have any questions or concerns during Calibrations, you are welcome to send them towards the mod team at any time, as always.

[ He rubbed the back of his neck and smiled. ]
I have other memories of you guys, of course, but that one... I don't know. I just know that I'll always remember that moment.
[ It wasn't always great with his words. He tried to be, but the emotion that memory brought up in him, the joy of it - what words could he have? The pride in being trusted to share it with them. It meant a lot to him. ]
How's married life treating you, by the way?

[The ceremony was nice, sure, and he liked how happy it made Biffy, but for the day to day of things... it's pretty much the same, except...]
I guess I have gotten used to wearing the ring.
no subject
Hah, not at all actually. I think when that happens - those are the marriages that last, you know?
[ His eyes drifted down to the ring, thinking of the one his twin now wore on his own finger. He smiled softly and brushed his leather bracelet - which right now was as close as he wanted to get to a ring, but it meant very much the same. He held it up for Lyall to see. ]
I can understand the feeling. Not quite a ring, but - it has a similar sentiment.

[He's just guessing, but from their scent, they did seem awfully close. A lot closer than even people who could only see them could assume.]
Is there anything else you would recommend I look at? I wouldn't want to intrude overly much.
[Because, well... he's already intruding quite a lot, to be honest.]

Got it in one.
[ He tapped his nose, and then looked around the room and back at Lyall. ]
Is there something you would like to know?
[ He was okay with Lyall seeing. He was a friend, a trusted one. Lyall knowing these things hardly felt intrusive. ]
Or would you prefer to be surprised?
no subject
Somehow, I have to come to expect it of you.
[And he could do with a bit of excitement, probably.]

[ Kirk chuckled, debating as he walked around the table, finally reaching out and flicking one of the inner planets. The table fizzed and crackled, as it always seemed to do when switching modes. Kirk bit his lip when he recognized what was being played out, this particular moment still one of mixed emotions, though looking back he found it mostly funny. It had been a moment that changed his life after all - the moment he met Christopher Pike.
When the memory faded, he glanced at Lyall, a rather sheepish smile on his face. ]

I am glad to see that being, rash, impulsive and a commensurate flirt are apparently innate qualities of yours and not something you have acquired through experience, Captain.

[ He chuckled. ]
It was worse back then, actually. This is me calmed down, believe it or not.
