[Lord Akeldama had clearly found himself in a place like this. This would be considered new territory for him. But even despite his fancy appearance, he didn't seem at all put out by being in this location, calmly walking the room to see what was around and studying everything.

When he gets to the tv, he stares at it. Finally he picks up the remote examining and somehow turning it on and hearing that message "Welcome to Drift Fleet..."]

[The channel remained fairly staticky. It was like the signal didn't work or the TV was broken or the cable box just didn't get that channel.

Akeldama will hear snippets of conversation through the fuzz and white noise, spotting vague images on the screen.

There was a ship that looked like one of the Fleet ships... Duo's voice could be heard requesting clearance to land the shuttle he was in.

A quick flash of a blonde boy about Duo's age appears on the screen before it fades into black and white snow. Duo was yelling for him, scared, worried... something was wrong.

A voice demanding things be kept secret from the new passengers. Duo arguing that they needed to know what happened.

A quiet mantra, like a voice in Akeldama's head, could be heard...]

We can't let them know. So many died.

[And then it was gone... the channel fading into static and fuzz completely.]

[Lord Akeldama crossed his arm after hearing / seeing this. He didn't even care if it messed up the fall of his jacket; this was important.

He's been weary of their "hosts" even in the short time he's been here and if this... thing he's seen was correct, there was reason to be concerned. It sounded like a lot of people had been killed in the fleet previously and they attempted to hide this.

Since he had yet to see the owner of this memory, he can't tell for sure who it belongs to. But that's not going to stop him from trying to speak to them]

What happened to the child?

[Yes, he just referred to the blond as a child. But when you were as old as he is, most people were children. He was also missing his signature italics and his accent is surprisingly... Greek]

[That got a response. The TV flickered, but Akeldama would suddenly feel like he wasn't alone in the room anymore.]

Child?

[Duo was standing at the counter, an apple in his hand. It looked like he'd been tossing it and catching it idly, but he stopped when he heard that statement.]

[Oh good. There he was. Lord Akeldama clarified]

The young blond lad. What happened to him?

[divine_braid]

[Duo lowered his eyes, staring at the apple for a moment. His expression had gone blank. Then, he took in a long breath through his nose before letting it out slowly, lifting his eyes again to meet the visitor's.]

He died.

[He was quite for a moment as well after hearing that. He had a feeling the history of this fleet wasn't a stellar one, but to hear that there were deaths and they were basically being told to keep it under wraps. Makes him wonder about them now]

I am sorry. He was a friend of yours, then?

[divine_braid]

From back home, yeah.

Like... I know that, if I ever get back home, it'll be like I wasn't here. So, he's probably fine back home. But, for now? It wasn't exactly the easiest thing to deal with.

[Duo sighed a little, looking frustrated.]

The worst part, it wasn't something I could prevent.

I do doubt that it was, my dear. It is never easy to watch something happen to someone you care about.

Even more so when you could not assist.

You are not part of our Fleet, correct? You are one of the others?

[divine_braid]

Yeah. I'm one of the ones that got away.

Only, it seems I've been pulled back in. At least, for now.

[Duo managed to smirk a little at that, moving away from the depressing subject of losing his friends.]

No one can hold me for long, though. I'll figure a way out of this.

From what I can tell, Monarch lady and I are physically in a different area than the rest of you. So that means we can't exactly meet up and plot outside of these dreams. And controlling which dreams you end up in or who ends up in your dreams is pretty much impossible. So, it's just me and her to figure this out on our end.

And, honestly, even if we could meet up, even if we see each other in our dreams... Atroma's watching. We can't trust that it won't be stopped before we can even start.

At least subconsciously. Physically you are still apart from the fleet.

[Lord Akeldama smiles, moving to examine the room merely because it gave him something to do while talking]

Hmm... yes, I wouldn't trust anything in these to private. I'm sure they will be aware that I have more information as well. Not that I am concerned, mind you. Vampires live for fashion and information, and I am very good at both.

I am Lord Akeldama, in case we should remember this later.

Sure thing- wait... did you say vampire?

[blink blink blink]

Like... really?

Indeed I did.

[He smiles a little wider than normal, letting Duo see two teeth are indeed longer than was normal]

But you do not need to worry for my presence. Even if this weren't your dream, I only bite those who willingly offer it. It is so uncivilized to bite anyone.

[divine_braid]

[Duo stared for a bit, and then slowly nodded.]

Right... of course, it is.

[Well, thankful for that. Duo'd met a few vampires during his time in the main fleet, but it still was a bit off-putting to think about.]

Good to know that you're at least... civilized.

One would hope they would all be so, but alas that is not always the case. Of course her Majesty's potentate would hopefully be a proper representative of vampires.

A potent what?

[Duo looked confused.]

Potentate. The vampire adviser to England's royal family. Though, I was appointed not elected by the hives of England.

Is being appointed better than being elected?

Appointed is not the usual way of doing things. Elected is the standard, but I am not friends with most of the hives in London. But we were in the middle of a crisis worthy of her Majesty’s attention and I was capable and present.

Capable and present seems to be the way of a lot of things.

[Duo shrugged a little.]

Sounds about normal.

So true. So true. And it was what needed to happen at the time as much as I do prefer my privacy.

Some people think privacy is overrated.

[Duo smirked.]

I'm not one of them.

So you do prefer privacy as well, darling? Then that is something we do have in common.

Oh, definitely. I mean, I can't do my job without it. Though, I am kind of known now, I guess, but it's not too bad. I can't do a lot of undercover stuff, but I can still do other things.

If you mean here, I would say yes are very much known now. Still sometimes I find the best information can be gathered in plain sight when no one suspects you. So what is your name, my dear?
