[He laughs.]

Yep! More or less.

I guess you don't have a whole lot of stuff... Is it a Jedi thing?

[resnipstance]

Pretty much. Earthly attachments and all that.

[She drifts over to the desk and looks at the trading cards of Cap, picking one up idly.]

Who's this?

[digthefuzz]

Oh - that's Captain America! He's a real old school hero.

[By holding onto that card, some voices will echo through her head. The first is Kurt's voice, and the second is a more growling, scowling voice:

"So if Rebirth made such great heroes, why was Captain America the only one?"

"Cause greatness ain't supposed to come that easy, Elf!!"

That is the only memory that will echo from that card.]

[resnipstance]

[She drops it in her surprise.]

--Oh. ... I see.

[She moves around the room then, peering at things, until she gets to the photo frames. There she stops, leaning in to inspect them.]

What about these ones? ... Is that your mom and dad?

[digthefuzz]

[He smiles warmly. The air in the house even starts to feel warmer and cozier in coordination with that.]

Right. They found me when I was a baby...

[resnipstance]

[That gives her pause, and she looks back at Kurt.]

"Found" you?

[digthefuzz]

Yah... I floated right up on the river as a baby. They raised me and loved me like their own. No matter what I look like, it doesn't matter to them.

[If she does directly touch the picture, it will come with a number of snapshots of warm memories of Kurt growing up with the couple, starting with the image of him being found.]

[Oh. Well, that definitely puts a smile on her face.]

... They sound like good people.

[digthefuzz]

They are! I still visit them... on holidays and stuff.

[resnipstance]

You don't live with them any more?

[digthefuzz]

I moved to America for high school. ...Because of the Xavier Institute. They teach me how to control my powers.

But my parents, they still live back in the home country.

[resnipstance]

Powers? ... What kind of powers?

[This is the first she's hearing of it!!!]

[digthefuzz]

Oh right! [He slaps his forehead.] I forgot to tell you. I'm a mutant, so that comes with powers! [BAMF. Kurt leaves his station in a puff of smoke, and instantly he reappears in another puff of smoke, clinging to a nearby wall with a cocky smile on his face.]

Teleportation, baby!

[resnipstance]

[Ahsoka's reflexes are lightning fast, but that still doesn't prepare her for what just happened]

What the--

You can teleport?!

[digthefuzz]

[He gives a sheepish shrug.]

Yep! That's my thing. [Then he teleports back to his default spot at the table.]

But, I mean, it's got nothing on being a Jedi!

[resnipstance]

Are you kidding me? That's amazing! There are thousands of Jedi, but I don't know anyone who can teleport! Can you just... go anywhere?!

[digthefuzz]

[He scratches at his neck bashfully.]

H-hey, but... still...!

Not anywhere anywhere. I've never been able to go further than two miles. And I have to have a good idea of where I'm going, or things can go very, very wrong.

[resnipstance]

Oh. So you couldn't like... teleport to another planet, or onto another spaceship.

[digthefuzz]

I could try, if they're close enough! But also try to imagine anything that could happen if I don't manage to teleport myself directly to somewhere where I can stand and breathe...

[resnipstance]

Well, of course you'd need a spacesuit.

[Ahsoka's floated out and around in space in a spacesuit enough times now that it doesn't really scare her anymore the same way it does normal people. Oops.]

[digthefuzz]

...Why didn't I think of that? If I had a spacesuit, that could make things a little easier! ...as long as I don't accidentally teleport out of it.

... Yeah, don't do that.

I mean. Is that really a danger? Have you done that before?

[digthefuzz]

Well, no, I never tried that before. But I know my powers well enough to have a pretty good idea of all the unfortunate ways it can go wrong...
