Before you post your topcomment, please:
1. Check the first letter of your character's name as its written in our tags. A-M names go to the other post, and N-Z names comment here.
2. Make a note in your topcomment if anything especially triggering or graphic might show up in the Calibration. If you're not sure if something's worth noting or not, we suggest listing it anyway, just to err on the side of caution.
3. Put your character's name (it can be shortened or different from the tag, this time) in the subject of your comment. This will help visitors find you easily, and help us update the list below.
4. Post your comment! It's fine if everyone's Calibrations end up looking and reading very different from one another. As long as you're having fun and following our guidelines, you're good to go. :)
5. If you have any questions or concerns during Calibrations, you are welcome to send them towards the mod team at any time, as always.

[It's an odd reaction, maybe, but the business of this room - the buzzing energy of it - doesn't strike her as strange at all. It's just how things are, it's just how she perceives the world anyway; she doesn't notice a difference. Just as always, she's glad of her hyperactive senses because of what they reveal about this place, the sound that hits her eardrums before it might someone else's, that indicates there is something under the bed.]

[It's probably a threat. She ignores it anyway, because not many things can kill her, or at least not permanently, and goes back to what she was doing: flipping through the first in the stack of journals, shuffling through the pages until she alights on something interesting.]

[the buzzing doesn't bother the usual room's occupant either. maybe it's just as well that it doesn't really phase her, as there are other things which may be far more important.

apparently, the noise is not one of them. as she moves towards the journals, opens one up, the rustling quiets down, settles back into the silence that was first there when Mal showed up. maybe it was just a distraction, and since she didn't get distracted...

what does Mal find interesting? the journal itself is bound in leather, feels well-used. there are pages and pages of a squiggly vertical script that doesn't make much sense, though they look like quick notes of some kind. there are some pictures here and there, sketches of faces and places, some of them a little familiar...

oh, and the writing starts to make more sense the more she looks at it. one of the pictures towards the front looks like the inside of the Marsiva. one of the pictures at the back looks like the inside of the Iskaulit.

    does she bother with it?]

[The words, of course - the words are what she goes after. The binding is important, indicative of plenty, but the words are where the deeper meaning lies.]

[So she doesn't pay attention to the binding. She doesn't look at the pictures. She goes straight for the big blocky passages of text. She doesn't understand it, not at first, but she's cracked codes before. She can damn well do it again, if there's any chance of fun.]
