Max knows intimately how important faith is. And people should be able to hold onto that. To a lot of people, faith is hope, is salvation. Stefan is obviously one, and he shouldn't have to throw that away for any reason other than his own beliefs. ]

The Qur'an may not leave Max's hands, but a few boxes vanish, the items in them mysteriously unpacking themselves to give Stefan's room further color. Islamic books - translations of the Qur'an, hadith collections, and even essays on the religion - have made their way onto the shelves, and there's now a few folded prayer rugs on top of his trunk.
The room feels warmer too, like someone turned up the thermostat to a pleasant temperature. More importantly, on the wall behind Stefan? There's a brand new calligraphy painting, of the 99 Names of Allah. It hangs pretty prominently, although it doesn't take up as much room as expected.
Although Stefan's brow is furrowed, he looks more at peace than before.]
In theory. I saw it happen to a lot of people back home, and you know... when you're juggling two sets of memories, you start to get a little confused. Like you don't know what actually matters in the end.
