[She very nearly picks up the silver revolver despite herself-- it's beautiful, and Nami has always been attracted to such things. But she's not much of a gun user, and touching a weapon in this place is just asking for trouble.

So she keeps her hands to herself, drifting through and occasionally calling Vash's name.

Given the extremely western nature of the town outside, to say she's caught by surprise by the three cores is an understatement. It doesn't seem to fit. And she does see that familiar hair; she takes a step forward, intent on at the very least maybe knocking on the outside of that glass, but her attention is completely diverted when the weird woman starts crawling out of the third one.

...uh. You look all kinds of horrible just waiting to happen.]

[Luckily for Nami the Plant is a different type of memory. No memories start for just speaking to it. Instead she smiles back at Nami.

Although being a memory and not the real thing does mean that ig Nami is receptive to it she will have the feelings of curiosity and calm flowing towards her direction. Or maybe she's took freaked out to feel any difference.

She places her hand on the glass and keeps smiling. Never blinking. Just curiously watching to see what Nami will do next.]

[Well, not being attacked by said weird woman is a good sign. Isn't it? Nami smiles uncertainly back and stays where she is for long moments, but when the woman does nothing more she approaches Vash's core again.

Hey. Knock, knock?]

[goldenglasses]

[There's a little shifting, but it doesn't look like Vash really wants to come out.

But the other Plant does respond. Oh! You want to wake her lazy brother? Perfect! She closes her eyes and suddenly a control panel near Nami starts to light up. One button is even blinking. Just begging her to press it. As other parts of the Plant starts to hum slowly to life.]

[mikangirl]

[Look, pushing suspiciously flashing buttons is Luffy's bag, not hers--

oh who is she kidding. The sooner she gets out of here the better. She darts a look at the both of them, and then touches it quickly as if it might burn her.]

[goldenglasses]

[The Plant looks happy at her choice. Once it's pressed a light towards the back lights up showing an exit sign above a door. There's also the clicking sound of a door being unlocked.

Yet, it also looks like the core where Vash was resting is starting to open. Now Nami has two choices.

Run and exit the newly unlocked door before Vash notices or she can wait and speak to him. He'll be jumping down out of his core in a minute or two. Looking rather tired, but otherwise normal.

For a guy that just came out of a light bulb at least.]

[Running before he notices would kind of defeat the purpose of being here in the first place. She waits.

...though she does make sure to keep the control panel between her and Vash. Sorry, man. This place is creepy.]

[At first Vash doesn't notice Nami. He yawns, stretches, and speaks out loud to himself.] Man, I was tired. Actually I wouldn't mind res-

[Oh, hey. A redhead is in here.] Nami... how did-- you're not suppose to be in here.

[You're not suppose to see this.]

I'm aware. I don't want to be here, if that helps. [She relaxes, because he seems pretty normal.] So... show me my way out and I'll get out of your hair.

[goldenglasses]

[Vash reaches up to scratch at the back of his neck. His eyes slide over to the awaken Plant behind Nami for a moment. It's just a fraction of a second, but his almost seems to shake in the smallest movement possible as his eyes dart purposely back to Nami and away from the woman.]

There's a door. [He points with his thumb towards the exit door in the back.] That should lead you back out of here.

[His eyes flick briefly back towards the woman once more before coming back to Nami.] And sorry, if we frightened you.

Not so much. [He seems more self aware than some others, and Nami smiles, albeit faintly.]

Surprised me, maybe. You didn't seem like such a complicated guy.

[goldenglasses]

Heh, yeah? Well, I don't like coming across as complicated. I guess I'm worried I'd scare people away otherwise.

[mikangirl]

You can scare people away by being too simple too, you know.

[goldenglasses]

Yeah, maybe, but not as many. Besides, it's easier to be overlooked if people think you're simple and weak.

Although, I wish there was a way to please everyone.

[mikangirl]

That's true. Simple and weak is kind of... easy to underestimate.

[She's been there. She is weak, by some counts. But far from simple.]

Too bad for you I can't think of you as simple, then.

[goldenglasses]

No, [He looks past Nami for a moment at the woman in the glass behind her.] I suppose you couldn't after seeing something like this.

What is something like this? You have to know just seeing this doesn't explain anything.

[goldenglasses]

True, but I know seeing it can be enough to have trouble keeping it out of your mind.

[Vash steps through the glass. It doesn't part, almost like it becomes soft for him to walk through then solidifies again once he's out. He walks up to place his hand against the other glass bulb. The woman reaches out and happily presses her own hand up to match his.]

On my world Plants are the reason people can survive on the planet. They have enough power if properly used to create just about anything. Not many people get to see the Plants awake outside their protective cores. [He takes a deep breath and lets it out. It wasn't easy. Being without his protective lies and exposed.] That's what we are.

[mikangirl]

...you're a Plant. [Her eyebrows raise. Not the green leafy kind-- obviously-- but a source of energy. That's...

...certainly not what she'd ever picture someone like Vash to be. Not with his personality and his, uh, apparent hobbies.]

A gun-slinging, drink-loving Plant that likes to act the fool? What makes you different?

[goldenglasses]

[He chuckles at her description of himself. Yet, uncomfortably shifts his weight from foot to foot.]

Well, no one really knows. I was just born one day and I don't need a life support system so I can freely go where I choose.

[He tilts his head towards the smiling Plant.] Would you like to meet her?

[Although what it really was is a distraction. Anything to stop being asked questions he didn't really want to be asked.]

[Yeah good luck with that, Vash. Lucky for you, Nami is genuinely curious about your friend here.]

What's her name?

[goldenglasses]

Lenore. That was the name the towns people gave her when I found her. They were taking very good care of her.

[Lenore moves her hands away from Vash. Turning slowly to face Nami more.]

[mikangirl]

...hey, Lenore.

[Do introductions in dreams really count? Nevertheless, Nami gives her a tentative smile.]

You say you found her. Does that mean you didn't know her before, or... you lost her?

[goldenglasses]

[Lenore gets excited and smiles even brighter when Nami calls out her name. Leaning her head in closer. Hand still against the glass.

Vash on the other hand looks more uncomfortable once again. Scratching at the back of his head before answering.] It's... complicated. I guess you could say she was lost. In a way.

[He looks towards the exit again, but that's the only answer she's getting for now.]

[It's okay, Vash. She won't push on this one. Instead, she turns to give him a knowing grin.]
