...And also these.
( for N-Z characters )
Before you post your topcomment, please:
1. Check the first letter of your character's name as its written in our tags. A-M names go to the other post, and N-Z names comment here.
2. Make a note in your topcomment if anything especially triggering or graphic might show up in the Calibration. If you're not sure if something's worth noting or not, we suggest listing it anyway, just to err on the side of caution.
3. Put your character's name (it can be shortened or different from the tag, this time) in the subject of your comment. This will help visitors find you easily, and help us update the list below.
4. Post your comment! It's fine if everyone's Calibrations end up looking and reading very different from one another. As long as you're having fun and following our guidelines, you're good to go. :)
5. If you have any questions or concerns during Calibrations, you are welcome to send them towards the mod team at any time, as always.

Yes! All the Masters say I'll be a great Jedi one day. [Her smile widens.] Like mama and Cay and Ulic Qel-Droma.

When she does speak, the tone is more like her fourteen-year-old self than a shy little girl.]
Mom is always busy. I have to find my own teacher.

Well... do you at least have a few in mind?
no subject
Yeah, I do.

May I?

Okay.
The Conclave of Exis Station is coming to a close. It was important, and there wasn't any droid ambush, so you shouldn't complain. You have half an ear to what's going on behind you--Jedi coming in and out, handing things to Nomi, walking past you with the briefest of glances. You're not paying attention to them, either. It's all paperwork, all business, all boring. At this point, your capacity to remind yourself that just because it's uninteresting doesn't mean it's unnecessary has been tapped out. You're just slumped over the other desk with your head on your arms, looking at a pair of holoportraits.
"My mother has kept these holograms for as long as I can remember..." you say to yourself. One is a man with long hair. "My father Andur... killed when I was just a baby. And Ulic, my mother's second great love..." Your gaze slides to the econd, a square-jawed man with short hair and a noble expression. It's nothing like the Ulic that Sylvar spoke of: the hated war criminal hiding from justice. You know she doesn't want justice--she wants retribution. And Nomi, what did she want? "I think she resents him for leaving us more than for what he did during the war. Back then, the Jedi seemed much more heroic."
Even your mother did. The memories are a little vauge, but they're still there: a woman charging down a vicious gang of criminals with lightsaber in hand, rescuing her own master. Even vaguer than that, the first time she picked up the weapon, standing over you to face the men who'd just killed Andur. And Ulic, who with his brother and Tott Doneetta, helped bring an end to Onderon's civil war and fought in so many battles against the Dark Side. Nobody remembers that anymore, it seems.
The last assistant leaves the room, and you perk up. If Nomi is finished, maybe there's a chance. Especially considering that her speech was all about renewing the Order. Well, there's an apprentice right here. "Can you work with me on my Jedi training now? I'm anxious to learn what I can--"
But Nomi sighs and touches her fingers to her forehead. "Not today, Vima. The convocation is just winding down, and I have a thousand details to look after. It'll be soon, though... I promise."
Promise, promise, promise. How many times have you heard that?
Your eyes fall on Ulic, who has shifted into a heroic stance with a big smile.
You aren't going to get anything by sitting here, waiting for her to pencil you in.
The end of the convocation is busy. Jedi are everywhere, emptying into their ships, going off to all corners of the Republic. With your hooded jacket, nobody even notices. You know that she hasn't... a few tears leak out at that thought. Slipping away shouldn't be this easy.
But you can feel the Force all around you. It is here for you. It knows where you should go. The idle thought that maybe even Ulic could train you seems to spin into something solid. But where is he? With his hologram in your pocket and your father's crystals in your pack, you look around until you find a tiny cargo hauler with an open ramp--you hurry to slip on board before anyone notices. You can feel the Force. It won't steer you wrong.

When the memory fades, she turns back to Vima.]
Did you find him? Ulic?
no subject
He was hiding from the Galaxy, but the Force took me to him.

...She came on her own. Even though she still had everything to look after with the Jedi. I think she left right away.

[She comes back over to Vima and kneels, bringing herself to the girl's eye level.]
Trust me, nothing is scarier to us than losing you.
