...And also these.
( for N-Z characters )
Before you post your topcomment, please:
1. Check the first letter of your character's name as its written in our tags. A-M names go to the other post, and N-Z names comment here.
2. Make a note in your topcomment if anything especially triggering or graphic might show up in the Calibration. If you're not sure if something's worth noting or not, we suggest listing it anyway, just to err on the side of caution.
3. Put your character's name (it can be shortened or different from the tag, this time) in the subject of your comment. This will help visitors find you easily, and help us update the list below.
4. Post your comment! It's fine if everyone's Calibrations end up looking and reading very different from one another. As long as you're having fun and following our guidelines, you're good to go. :)
5. If you have any questions or concerns during Calibrations, you are welcome to send them towards the mod team at any time, as always.

You wish.
[She indicated a move on the board. It didn't matter who won or lost, what mattered was that he was playing the game.]
no subject
More movement of her piece, then his, using it to take one of her tokens and moving it to the side after he had jumped it.] Sure ya can see well 'nough from down there? [He teased.]

[Indicating where he should slide her next piece, advancing through where it was safe.]

Well, I am mean. [Said with a small smile, directing him where to next place her piece.] Ask anyone.

[In the end, it won't matter who wins the game. When it's complete, a small puzzle piece will appear next to the board where nothing had been there before.]

[As the piece appeared, Remy's eyes shifted from the game to it, picking it up and turning it over before raising a brow to her. His vision then shifted to the jigsaw, looking back at the piece in hand to see where it fitted in and moved to place it in it's place, but stopped just before he did and looked to Rogue again, as if to check it was ok to do so.]

It's alright. Ya won it. It's your way out, once ya fit it into place.
[There was, of course, a memory attached to it. But there was nothing Rogue could do about that. It was part of the price.]

There was still something weighing on his mind, something he had shoved away and hidden under the fun of their normal teasing talk to one another, with the food and coffee, with the game. But now, with it coming to an end, it felt still unresolved if he didn't say something.]
'm sorry for how he treated ya back then. He, me, whatever it all really be.
no subject
She'd cared for that Remy. Cared for him a great deal. They'd been through a lot together, and for him to manipulate her like that had done more than hurt, it had all but completely destroyed what had been slowly blossoming between them.
He had never apologized.
Remy was, now. She grew slightly within her glass cage to curl hands of fire over the edge and fully stare at him.]
It wasn't you. That's hard ta see right at first, but I know it's true. There's no knowin' that you in the same situation would've made the same call. Ya don't owe me an apology for him. [She paused a moment, remembering the terror of jumping into that ditch, the desperation behind that kiss, the sickness of betrayal, and gave Remy a small smile.] But I appreciate it, anyway.
no subject
Don't wanna think I would do it, but ain't sure I wouldn't. [There was a tightening of his jaw at those thoughts.] So oui, I do owe ya that, just 'cause I don't remember it don't mean it didn' hurt ya. I should had known better, he should had known better.
no subject
Something stirred in her heart toward him, some kind of genuine compassion and understanding... and a certain respect.]
He should have. [Rogue agreed quietly, entirely herself for the moment, not a touch of the tour guide about her flaming form.] An' now ya do too. I ain't gonna hold it against ya, I accept your apology even though I don't think I need to hear it from ya, an' I... appreciate ya sayin' this.
no subject
Eyeing the piece in his hand, Remy sat up further in his chair.] Merci for all of this cherie, was kinda fun. [The game and food at least.
One more twirl of the jigsaw piece in his hand before Remy placed it on the board.]

You hold it a little awkwardly - it is still a little big for you, but you know you'll grow, know you'll get more comfortable with it the more you practice. You are plucking out cord progression, working your fingers in awkward configurations on its neck.
It hurts, but you think you hear something almost like music, and that spurs you to keep going. You stop after a little while, feeling something slick on the fingers of your right hand. Pulling it back, you gasp. You are bleeding. The wire of the strings has not cut you, but your skin was so soft that the simple pressure of the repeated motion on the narrow, hard strings has pulled blood out through your skin.
You smile at the blood, at the pain. Good. You do not want your hands to be soft. You wipe the blood off with a tissue and do a scale again, your black gloves resting to the side in your peripheral vision.]
With the price of the memory, the door to the outside opens, and he is free to leave and wake in his own bed, with whatever strange dreams may remain...

Yet he could still appreciate it, still understand that same urge to conqueror a new tool, like when he first learnt to pick a lock. How many times had he failed, had aches and pains from gripping the tools too tight out of desperation to make them work, learning to be patient and listen for the click that gave away the pins turning. Uphill battles that you knew would lead to something great, even if you were the only one who would appreciate it.
Feeling himself fall back into his own body, away from the memories, and with the door now wide open for her, Remy stood and placed a hand to the side of the vessel she was in, ignoring the heat of it as he was so use to the feeling of burning up.]
See ya later, cherie. [Giving her one last smile before he stepped out of the room.]
no subject
That... could have been a lot worse.]
