Souji reappears nearby, out of the fog, now wearing a grey-tinted pair of glasses and a puzzled expression.

"Of course we're here ... did you get lost?"

"I didn't move." Just a fair point there and all. She eyes his glasses quizzically-- in fog? really?-- and then shakes her head.

"Where are we?"

"It's the TV World." Souji seems a little alarmed that she doesn't seem to remember. "Where are your glasses?"

[mikangirl]

"Probably back in the map room-- ah. A long, long way from here. What good do glasses do anyway?"

The fact he seems alarmed makes her glance around a little nervously.

"They help you see better in the fog. I have an extra pair, but ..." He reaches into his back pocket and produces a set of glasses with fake nose and mustache attached. He shrugs, holding them out for her to take, if she chooses to do so.

Oh. Glasses. With a fake nose and mustache. How cute.

"Oh thank you so much, I'm sure I can see much better with these on--"

Smacking then out of his hand. "Like hell!"

[Souji blinks, taken completely aback by her reaction.]

They're not Teddie's best work, but they're better than nothing.

[Nami's priorities just aren't always sensible, that's all.]

How do glasses let me see through fog, anyway? It's still fog.

[He shrugs, and takes off his own glasses, holding them out for her to try on.]

[Okay, she'll bite. Nami puts the glasses on and then blinks, taking them off again. And then back on--

It's so much clearer.]

How does that even work? It's fog.

It's fog. [He shrugs at the question.] Teddie makes them for us. He's from over here on this side.

[It is a mystery, basically.]

...okay.

[It's a dream, Nami. Roll with it. She crouches to pick up the other pair of glasses and offers them back to him.] So what happens here?

[He nods his thanks, and slips the silly glasses back into his pocket.]

Shadows live here. We fight them - usually because there's someone we need to rescue.

All right. [Seems legit. She doesn't know what a Shadow is, but she can easily equate it to monster. She really wishes she had the climatact, and then decides it probably wouldn't matter in a dream.]

So is there someone that needs rescuing now?

[Souji shakes his head.]

Not right now. We're just here to train today.

[mikangirl]

[Oh good. She relaxes.]

Well, you're the boss here. What next?

You need a weapon.

[Obviously.]

I can't just hide behind you?

[The point of 'train' may have gone over her head. But actually, she's mostly kidding. Mostly.]

Anywhere I can get one from? I'm good with a staff.

How about a golf club?

['Cause he knows where to get one of those.]

[mikangirl]

[She...actually doesn't know what that is. But if it's a club of some kind she'll make do.]

Sure. I'll try it.

[Souji produces a golf club from underneath his jacket and holds it out for her to take.]

It's not the best weapon, but it's better than nothing.

She blinks at it for a moment, then decides it doesn't matter. Dream, right? So she takes it, shifting grip until she gets an idea of the balance. Not what she was thinking of in terms of clubs, but this is longer and close to what she needs.]

Yeah. This'll do.

[And not a moment too soon; a pair of floating striped spheres with giant mouths and lolling tongues appears from behind her. Souji nods to indicate she should look behind her and tightens the grip on the sword in his hand.]

Now's your chance. Hit them as hard as you can.

[She blinks as she turns around and-- oh jesus what kind of monsters are they?

Her first swing is a little panicked, but she still hits, even if it's not as powerful a strike as it could have been--] I thought you said shadows! What's this a shadow of!?
