[ She'll pull away from the hug for a moment to pluck a different flower -- a bush clover blossom -- and offer it to him ]
Here, let me make it up to you.
[ With a less awful memory ]

[Oh. Well. He reaches out, a little hesitant but not much, and touches it.]

She looks up to the much larger man next to her, her (much smaller) hand in his grasp. He's sporting a very similar long blonde ponytail ... and, as he looks back down at her, the very same striking blue-green eyes. It's very clear that these two are closely related, but then ... ]
What about this one, Daddy?
[ Ino points out a bush clover hanging down from a pot on the shelf -- one that looks almost identical to the one she handed Caesar just a moment ago -- before looking back at her father. He smiles, and squats down to be more on her level, taking the plant gently into his own hand, the one that isn't holding hers.
"This one's called the bush clover," he says, "and wherever it's planted, it makes the soil much friendlier to the other plants."
Ino makes a thoughtful sound, examining the blossom herself now. It's clear that rather than actually knowing how to handle the plant carefully just yet, she's more just imitating the way she's seen him do it, down to the thoughtful "hmmm"s she's making as she turns it in her hand. It makes her father laugh a little silently, but she doesn't seem to think it worth reacting to. ]
What does it mean?
[ "It means ... a love that's blunt, candid ... honest and true." He reaches over to place a hand on her head, smoothing it over her hair as he grins at her. "Someday when you get older, you'll blossom into a beautiful bush clover, just like this one."
Ino giggles at the compliment, and reaches in to hug her father, but -- the memory is over, and he vanishes before she can quite get her arms around him, leaving behind only the emptier (almost colder now) flower shop, and an older Ino watching him with a fond little smile. ]
