Rogue shook off enough of the impression that she must sit to straighten up and extend a hand toward him.]

If I'd had that choice, can't say I wouldn't have done the same thing.

[A lot of touching, more so than Remy ever expected from her to him, but the fact she was going out of her comfort zone to firstly be here, in his little land of nightmares, and to try and reach out to him, it meant a lot. Taking her hand once again, he gave a shake of his head, and a touch of a sad smile.]

I know, but there be a lot of meanin' to the sayin' 'something too good to be true', I just found it out the hard way.

[Rogue squeezed his hand lightly and then released it.

She tried to get up out of the chair but found it... hard. She managed to brace her hands on the arms, managed to keep sitting up.]

What happened? Somethin' with your powers?

More the price I had to pay in return for control. [She may had let go of him, but Remy kept his hand out, but before he offered to help her up, he had to ask.] Ya sure ya want to move, the rest of the room be just the same once ya leave it.

[She gave Remy a sad smile.]

Unless there's a way for ya ta cut open my head an' muck about, gettin' me control of my powers, then this... hope... ain't mine. An' I'd better get up.

[Or else facing what she had to do in order to get them to even be quiet would be far too difficult to face. She'd give him her hand again, if he would help her out.]

[Taking her hand and holding it for a moment, without moving to help her, Remy considered telling her. Sinister was still out there, maybe multiple versions of him (Remyu had seen the comic version from the comics he had hidden away in Luceti), there was a chance for her. For a price.]

What would ya be willin' to pay for that chance? [Remy asked before he gave her a tug to help her back to her feet.] 'nough to more or less be sellin' ya soul to the devil?

[There were two very different answers to that question. She'd needed the boost up and now, in thought and due to the nature of the conversation, she didn't want to isolate him by removing her hand.]

Depends on if it's just my soul. [Very serious.] But these things don't tend ta work out that way. If it was just a price I had ta pay? I'm pretty sure I'd have paid it.

...but, the thing is, Remy... [She gave him a small smile, afraid to show anymore.] I think I am gettin' it. At least a little, at least in part.

What ya mean, Rogue, what ya get? [Giving up part of yourself for an end goal, even if you will regret it later? Hiding this kind of darkness away and trying to forget it ever existed? Or needing someone to share it with, and taking the risk it would still be ok in the end.]

[Rogue bit her lip, not sure if she wanted to... to rain his parade, to show him this in the middle of his pain.

But he'd shown her this, done it on purpose. Shouldn't she offer him some in return?]

...I think I'm learnin' a little bit of control. For the part in my mind, anyway. So... if I can get it on my own, if it's even possible, then... maybe my answer would change. But if it ain't possible any other way, then... I get it. I do.

[Because she would do almost anything to get control.]

[Remy's concern and general annoyance and hatred for this place slowly leaked away, a soft smile replacing it as he reached a hand out to give her upper arm a squeeze.] Really? Merde, that great cherie.
