[He nods, pleased to have her speak even if it's something so terrible as that.]

He is gone, Wanda. You don't have to stay in this cell anymore.

[Because that is what this represents, isn't it? That in some way she's still stuck in this phase of her life.]

[She looks up from the floor, meeting Vision's gaze. The fear still evident on her face. She quickly looks away from him though, back towards the floor and shaking her head.]

I can't. I can't leave. He- Hydra... they are going to hurt the people of Sokovia. If I leave... the attacks, the bombings... they'll start all over again.

[He nods acknowledgment - that's a good enough justification for them to have trapped her here with, isn't it? And obviously the torture (because that's what it had been, no use calling it anything else) had convinced her of its truth. Clearly there is still a part of her that's having difficulty moving past this stage.]

What if you were able to stop them from doing that?

[The question makes her pause, both audibly and visibly. She sits there for a moment in silence, contemplating over Vision's question.]

If I could stop them...

I... Am I capable of doing that?

[But then she shakes her head, her expression becomes more grim again and a discernible tone of anger creeps into her voice.]

But it's not just the people of Sokovia that I am here for. I want... they promised me... revenge.

You are capable of a great many things, Wanda. Most people underestimate that, and it can be a serious point in your favor.

[Especially if she chooses to use it to help people--which is relevant to her next thought. And even though that revenge is directed at his friends, he nods soberly.]

Because your life as you knew it was destroyed, and you did nothing to deserve it. That's a reason to be angry.

[She falters for a moment. Her anger vanishing briefly, and a look of shock replaces it. She's not used to having someone speak to her in this way, so calm and understanding. The anger returns, but it feels forced. Like, she has to be angry, because it is the only reason she can use to justify her actions.]

I- I don't-

What am I supposed to do? What would you have me do?!

[He doesn't let it show in his expression, but he's quite happy to have produced that reaction. That's exactly how he wants her to think - not clouded by rage, but with her heart. And what few enough people have done with her, frankly; she always had her brother, but one confidant is hardly enough.]

I would have you find out who you are, and what it is you truly want. To bring others suffering through revenge - or to bring peace to your people?

[Wanda looks at Vision rather incredulous by his words. He wants her to find out who she is? What she truly wants? What does she truly want? Revenge... to make Stark suffer for the loss of her parents? For what his weapons had done to Sokovia? Or to bring peace? To protect the innocent... perhaps that desire had been at the core to her motivations all along. The desire to be strong, strong enough to protect others. To protect the innocent, those that could not stand up and fight for themselves.]

[Tears begin to flow from her eyes again. But it is only a few, not the storm that they had been before. A smile creeps its way onto her face, and she reaches up to wipe the water from her eyes. She looks up at Vision.]

I will try.

[As she smiles up at him, the door to the prison cell slowly opens. Blinding white light streams in, enveloping the two of them. The light is so bright, it forces their eyes closed, blocking out everything they can see.]

[As the light fades, Vision will find himself back aboard the Marsiva in his assigned room. His time in Wanda's calibration room is at its end.]

[That's very satisfying on a number of levels - to have her dream-self search deeper for the answer will help her waking-self commit to that decision, for one. For another, he hates to see his friends in pain and discomfort, and that certainly qualified as both.

And he likes to see people hope.]
