...And also these.
( for N-Z characters )
Before you post your topcomment, please:
1. Check the first letter of your character's name as its written in our tags. A-M names go to the other post, and N-Z names comment here.
2. Make a note in your topcomment if anything especially triggering or graphic might show up in the Calibration. If you're not sure if something's worth noting or not, we suggest listing it anyway, just to err on the side of caution.
3. Put your character's name (it can be shortened or different from the tag, this time) in the subject of your comment. This will help visitors find you easily, and help us update the list below.
4. Post your comment! It's fine if everyone's Calibrations end up looking and reading very different from one another. As long as you're having fun and following our guidelines, you're good to go. :)
5. If you have any questions or concerns during Calibrations, you are welcome to send them towards the mod team at any time, as always.

Yes. That is. Helpful. But don't disconnect. Me yet.
no subject
Do I keep doing this?
no subject
In the lower left corner, I believe, is the right spot.
no subject
That?
no subject
Thank you. I am much improved.
no subject
Good. You looked uncomfortable.
no subject
[He pauses on his word choice.]
Perhaps not 'uncomfortable,' but disconcerting to have my internal power source bypassed. In any case, I bid you welcome.

Hello.

[He's quite content to sit here like this.]
It is fortunate that with you, at least, I need make no secret of my mental abilities.
no subject
No. I already knew. I know lots of things.
no subject
[An honest question.]

[Daneel falls silent a moment, thinking on hard on both of them, fellow robot and long-dead human.]
It is a skill. It is one I aspire to.

[One of the 'windows' flicker into life, Daneel's view of a robot in his arms, obviously in distress by the way it moves jerkily, the strain in its voice, the flickering light behind its glowing eyes. While Daneel listens carefully, Giskard repeats a long string of numbers with increasing difficulty.]

You wove into you.

You can reweave yourself. That's very powerful.

[He frowns.]
I have done it twice. Once with the Zeroth Law, and once with Giskard's matrix, but the former took me a long time, and Giskard was preparing me for the latter beforehand. A misstep could easily be fatal.

[He's very serious.]
The First Law then states that a robot must not harm a human, nor through inaction allow a human to come to harm, unless doing so comes into conflict with the Zeroth Law. The Second Law states a robot must obey all orders given by a human, except where doing so comes into conflict with the Zeroth and First Law. The Third Law states that a robot must protect its own existence, except where doing so comes into conflict with the Zeroth, First, and Second Laws.
The Three Laws are built into all robots. The Zeroth is... my own addition.
no subject
[He's trying to understand.]
no subject
[Yes, that came up once.]
no subject
That... seems wrong to me.
