[It comes at some point in the mid-afternoon, not that space is anything but timeless. The Fleet holds its collective breath as a lone figure works tireless at the controls, surrounded by as much machinery as could be feasibly cobbled together in the span of a few short weeks… But Zhade is here and working hard, and at last he finds an opening.

Communicators and consoles light up everywhere, broadcasting his voice and half-shrouded face in a broad echo. There's nothing to lose, and no reason to hide themselves any longer.]

This is Zhade! Prepare yourselves-- the shields are about to come down! You'll need to hit it with everything you have. Spells, cannons, everything, all of it. Don't you dare hold back, not after the heroics you've shown us time and time again!

[He wipes some sweat from his scarred brow and hits a button, broadcasting instead an image of the Marsiva. The space around it crackles and sparks visibly, lightning rippling over the barrier in a honeycomb fashion. This is the same view as from any of the Fleet's windows. The audio picks up the sound of things sparking and crackling around Zhade, but this doesn't slow him at all.

Instead, he roars a simple command:]

FIRE—!

[The shields are down, and all is laid bare.

What happens next is up to the combined strength of the Fleet, whether they are firing upon the ship to maintain a distraction or boarding the ship themselves.]

[With help from other Fleeters, Minako had coordinated the lecture hall being decorated into an auditorium for their auction. It was done up somewhat cheesy, like a 90's high school prom, with hearts and cute things... streamers, balloons... anything she could find on the planet below to make it work.

She also managed to order a buffet of hors d'oeuvres and finger foods (nothing super fancy) for people to snack on, and there were drinks. There wasn't specifically punch, but there wasn't anything alcoholic being supplied, so that would have to be brought in by others. She's a minor!

Before the auction itself starts, but once everyone's there, Minako steps up on the stage to address everyone.]

I want to thank everyone for participating tonight. It's a great showing of people and I know we'll be able to use the supplies we'll be getting during the next drift. I hope everyone has a good time tonight, and I definitely hope you all have wonderful dates.

Now... let the auction begin!

[She'd step to the side, and then introduce each person as they came out for their bidding.

Afterwards, she thanked everyone again, wished them all luck on their dates, and told them to enjoy the rest of the night!]

{OOC: Each of the characters being sold has a top level for the bidding portion. The winners that were rolled are in the subjects. Feel free to make your own top levels like a typical mingle if you want to do more than just the bidding. Also, you can go hog-wild bidding in each of the individual top levels, but the winners have already been picked for some of them. Those who didn't get an RNG pairing (sorry, we had less buyers than people sold) are open to having fun with bidding and you can determine who wins. Just because you're not the winner of a person doesn't mean you can't play out a bidding war if you want to! Have fun!}

Hi, everyone! Minako here, again.

So, after hearing back from a good number of you who were interested, the final verdict is that we're going to use the money raised from the date auction for purchasing supplies before we leave the system.

Personally, I think that's a great idea.

SO... that said, I've gotten quite a lot of sign ups! I'm really excited. Remember, though, we need buyers for this to really work, so don't forget to stop by this weekend. I'm going to set it up in the lecture hall on the Iskaulit.

I can also use help with decorating and other tasks surrounding the auction, so, even if you don't want to participate in the matchmaking part, you're perfectly welcome to help in other ways! Just let me know!

[Look who finally made his way out of the ship and into the city. Of course its at night because that's the only time he can get out, when the sun goes down. Behind him is part of the underground city as he sits somewhere having a drink (it's some sort of alcohol, not the other thing)]

Now this is never something that I dreamed of seeing. The things I have seen.

[He says this dramatically, pulling out his fan and fluttering it like he might faint. He's not going to]

It does solve so many problems though with possibly being exposed to sunlight. A shame there aren't more. It truly, truly is.

[Where can someone find Lord Akeldama in a place with so much to do. Shopping of course in perhaps a vain attempt to find something that would fit his particular style aesthetic.

Of course, prior to daylight hours, he must return to his ship, enjoying the space before it was time to sleep]

[The video camera shows an open field planetside, obviously cultivated and fenced in, and currently occupied by a rather large herd of the fluffy behemoth sheep known as flouds that roam carefree as they chomp down on grass. It's quiet for a moment and then the familiar lilt of Taako's voice breaks the idyllic calm of flouds bleating aimlessly.]

Unacceptable.

[His finger comes into view, pointing at one of the faraway beasts.]

They're in danger constantly [Read: rarely] of being eaten by massive lizard monsters and they don't even pen them in properly.

[A floud bleats and flops over in some tall grass, which Taako gestures to wildly, bracelets jangling on his wrist against his silver bracer.]

Look at them! Poor sods. No idea when their brief littl-- well, I guess huge, but whatever, size isn't-- well it is, but the point stands! Their brief lives are in danger and they have no clue.

So! I'm liberating [read: stealing] a few of them from this hellhole of gigantism to the lap of luxury up on the Iskaulit.

[The public broadcast has her in the same same cafe not long after her call to her friends. She sets aside her drink (it looks like a smoothie) to smile at the feed.]

Since there are so many things to do here, I'd like some help narrowing it down for a day. What's been your favorite so far, or what's on your list to try? No options are off the table yet.

Thinking about it, this seems like an optimal place to get various things to decorate the ships more. If it weren't for some failsafes, I'd swear it would be so easy to get lost in this city. Maybe another day.

[Kaname reaches over and turns off the broadcast. It's not much, but it's been a while since she's addressed everyone at large. Now she simply settles back to enjoy the atmosphere and wait.]

Hello everyone, Father Abel Nightroad reporting. How is everyone doing? Things have been quiet lately as I tend to study on the ship to pass my time. Being the ship's chef, I'm learning new recipes to cook, but otherwise it's lots of quiet days and nights.

Looks like we arrived at another star system, another planet to explore. Down here, it's quite different than the last one I explored and visited. If you're coming down here on this planet, be sure to find the tunnels once you land on the surface, because the city is actually underground! The city is beautiful and busy down here, and I'm getting around using the underground train. Pretty much a very developed city technological wise.

If you're in the city, I hope to meet you as a friend, I wouldn't mind company. Let's hang out! I'm also exploring the planet surface to keep track of nature and wildlife out here too. But take care if you plan to visit if you have allergies, but they do have medicine down here.

[There's a white puffball asleep in Veronica's lap, and she looks a bit harried as she starts the broadcast, her hair a bit wild. She's clearly dealing with some allergies too, her eyes and nose red and slightly swollen.]

Found this little guy on the surface. He's one of those sheep things, but I think he's a baby. Anyway, I've been trying to ask around to see if any of the local farmers are missing one so I can get him back to his home, but these allergies are awful. [She sniffs and rubs at her nose.] Even with the medicine my eyes are getting all puffy.

Anyway, I would really appreciate it if someone who is immune to the surface wouldn't mind seeing if they can find where this baby Floud might have come from? I've got him with me underground for now. I'd like to try to find his owner before completely adopting him.

Hi, everyone! [Have a perky blond on your screen!] This new system seems pretty exciting with all that neat shopping underground. And, because we have lots of shopping and things to buy in order to look our best, as well as all these really interesting places to go for dates, I have a proposal to make!

I've heard that you can purchase upgrades for the Iskaulit in addition to our individual ships. SO! I'm saying we should have a fundraiser and then decide on something really good and big to add to our ship! And, I'm saying that the fundraiser should totally be a... [wait for it] DATE AUCTION!

As I'm a personnel officer, someone suggested that I'm here to help with advice on lots of issues, and I just so happen to be quite the love expert and matchmaker back home, so I know how these things can go. And what better way to help break the ice and get to know each other better than to go on dates with strangers! [She looked really enthusiastic about this. Sorry, everyone.]

So, if you're interested, or if you know someone who might be, let me know and we'll get them signed right up!

Oh! And don't forget to let me know what you think we should raise money for! I'll tally up all the ideas and then the one most people want to use it for will be what we get. [BEAMING SMILE]

[Some of you will recognize the proprietor of the salon on the Iskaulit, you can even see the salon behind him. Biffy smiles as he offers a little nod of his head.]

Good evening. After our recent experiences, I believe it is time for me to remind everyone of my services here. I am Mr. Rabiffano, the owner of the Maison de la Lune, a refined salon where I take care of your hair styling needs and sometimes a little extra. Presently I would like to offer hair cuts at half price for this month. I will also add a free styling afterward.

For those more interested in a little pampering, I do offer facial treatments which I can add for a little extra.

[Appearing on the bridge in a shower of confetti with some chocolate pudding in her hand was a bit... odd. And very startling. She hadn't had much time on the Marsiva to come to terms with her new situation before she was suddenly here. Be prepared for a small freak out, Red Fish.

Later, she could be found exploring the ship and familiarizing herself with everything she needed to know, including that new Personnel office that apparently was hers?
