Does anyone have any apples or honey or anything close to either from the last stop? I was...just thinking about it today. [Softer.] Not that I even know how to tell when sundown is in space.

[But she knows it's close to Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish new year, but nailing down a date would take calculating she can't do based on a moon that's not even here. She's not really a religious person and has some definite issues with god especially after everything she's been through back home, but the traditions remind her of better times when she was young with her family. She didn't think about it much in the last place because they didn't run off of a calendar she was familiar with, but here it brings back memories.]

Anyway, I'd trade for some if you do. We'll work something out.

I've got a couple of bushels from my jobs at some of the orchards! And there's a baby tree on the Iskaulit now, but it's fruiting if you need more! And peaches and cherries too!

[She'd been thinking about sending him a direct message and kept starting and deleting and thinking maybe later, but when it comes from him she bites lightly on her lower lip as she types.]

[He doesn't know how to feel about that. Kitty wouldn't make the offer if she didn't want to, he knows. And it would be a way of following tradition, even in spite of their situation. He hadn't even considered yet if he had the heart to do that, in the wake of his family's deaths. The time of year had escaped him.]

I wouldn't have expected they were in ready supply.

[Honestly, she's hardly an expert herself. There were a lot of meals at key times during the year, but none of them were kosher. There were traditions, but not always a lot of explanation as to what they meant.]

[She managed to get the apples and the honey she wanted, but also found out about Rogue before making it home. She's not sure how to feel, but there's Winn being thoughtful and adorable and clearly confused, but so cute that it doesn't matter.]

Hey you. [She smiles softly and walks up to him to tug his apple down so she can give him a gentle kiss.] Pinkie had apples. Stephan had honey. But this always helps.

[She smiles, almost surprised that there is another who knows what she's talking about. He seems comfortable with it too. Maybe Jewish like herself.]

That wouldn't shock me. They play pretty fast and loose with time here. Are you new or have we just been missing each other? [She's sure there are still people in the fleet she doesn't know which makes it a little harder to tell.]

[Ravi has decided to take a break from his frankly depressing progress in the kitchen and take one of the shuttles out for a spin to the Iskaulit. His intention was to seek out one of the bars and grab a drink, but he's stopped to ponder whether drinking and driving applies in space as well. He hasn't exactly informed his crewmates of his whereabouts - though the note he'd left declaring "THE COOK IS OUT TO LUNCH" should probably suffice. But the idea of having to call for a ride on an unreliable network isn't really what he'd had in mind.

Just as he's made up his mind to be a responsible adult, he sees a familiar-ish face not too far ahead.]
