Gooood morning, everybody~! Gueeeess who's birthday it is today~? If you guessed Finn, then you'd be right! AND you'd be invited to his super special first EVERY birthday party on the Caprine! If you guessed wrong, don't worry, you're invited anyway! There'll be cake and ice cream and music and games and lots and LOTS of blue fizzy drinks! Hope we see you there~!

[While Pinkie has Poe distract Finn for most of the day, this little party pony's hard at work making this the best (and only) birthday this ex-Storm Trooper's ever had! As advertised, the whole ship is decorated bow to stern with streamers and lights and balloons. There's music throughout all the speakers, dancing and games on the bridge, and SO MANY TREATS in the kitchen. There's mild and spicy nachos, salsa, cubes of spiky blue fruit that tastes like cantaloupe, candy, and HUGE birthday cake made from as many real ingredients as Pinkie could get her hooves on. There's also a HUGE punch bowl with Pinkie's best punch recipe, and pre-poured cups of what looks like some blue fizzy milkshake. Knock yourselves out, guys, and help Finn have the best birthday ever since the First Order is made of jerks!]

[Finn hadn't exactly forgotten that Pinkie Pie had decided he should have a birthday, but he also hasn't been paying a whole lot of attention to the calendar. So yes, that's genuine surprise when he hops out of the shuttle and sees the decorations.]

What's--oh! [When it hits him, it hits hard, and he starts laughing so the moisture in his eyes won't look out of place. But when he's done and wiped his face on his sleeve, he looks delighted.]

Where'd you go, Pinkie? I know it was you!

[After that he'll be wandering around excitedly, talking to anyone who shows up and trying not to eat all the food (he leaves the spicy nachos alone because he's tried Pinkie's brand of hot sauce before and he knows better).

[Of course Poe is there! He wasn't about to spend all that time keeping Finn away from the party preparations and then not come enjoy the party himself. But it's great to see Finn so happy, and having something he should have had all the time if the First Order weren't a bunch of assholes.]

I'm really liking it! [It's almost overwhelming, to think this is all just for him.] And you must've helped, huh? You didn't really want to buzz the toxic forest and see if we could kick up the biggest debris cloud.

[She understood the importance of celebrating one's birth, which is why she consented to Pinkie turning the Caprine upside down in whatever way she chose and had a gift ready for him. She hadn't been sure what to get him, given the only thing she knew men favored were women and weapons. Finn was much calmer than all of that. She has a new leather jacket made for him - if he chose to wear something different now and again. She knew he favored his current one, after all.]

I hope it isn't too much? I'm afraid I had some hand in helping - mostly letting Pinkie do what she wished.

[She smiles, holding her wrapped gift in her arms as she approaches him. The food was nice and she was glad this was not a Dothraki affair. Deaths aboard the Caprine were not necessary.]

[To be perfectly fair, he does like weapons - but he's content with what he has in that department until someone can find the materials to make a real lightsaber.

So he takes the gift and gets a huge grin when he unwraps it. It is good to have an alternate - he wouldn't want Poe's jacket to get messed up if he can help it.]

[Today is the day she's going to have to admit there is a talking pink pony in the fleet, isn't it? She already knew. Talking pink ponies are hard to miss and she tends to stalk the network, but she didn't have to confront the knowledge. Didn't have to confirm it. Not until today.

But there is cake and ice cream on the line. Priorities. Oh, and because Finn is newish and maybe they haven't talked a lot, but she doesn't know how many people are showing up for him and she figures she can make it one more at least.]

[Once the party's in full swing, Poe still sticks pretty close to Finn--but he doesn't want his friend to miss out on anyone that's shown up to celebrate. So he's occasionally by himself, browsing the food and just keeping an eye out. He'll give anyone a friendly smile while he finishes his mouthful of whatever he's eating.]

[ It has been some time since Obi-Wan has celebrated anyone's birthday. The Jedi don't really believe in giftgiving but at least once in an apprentice's lifetime, they provide a small gift or token. And Finn wasn't his apprentice by any means, but that didn't mean Obi-Wan could indulge someone. ]

[ Padmé doesn't know Finn, but celebrations on the Fleet are few and far between. And the organizer seemed quite excited. She may as well go and meet other members of the Fleet. It'll be a nice distraction from... everything.

Dressed to impress as always, she looks around the room, taking in the care and attention put into the party. She picks up one of the fizzy blue drinks and looks at it with what seems to be a curious look but it's really trepidation. Is this okay to drink or...? ]
